Just for couples?

The Palo Brunch is WONDERFUL and worth every penny. my wife & I try to schedule one every cruise so far we are 5 for 6.

But back to your original question: why should you care what some people, who you will never see again, think?

Just Go & Enjoy and have a Mimosa on me. :cool1:

As the title suggests, it's not what people think of me that is the problem. I really honestly don't care. My whole point/question was if palo was more unofficially a couples' scene and is it irregular to see non-couples or would people get the wrong idea. I just stated that people have a tendancy to already think this of my friend and I. That's all. I kind of messed up my questions or gave the wrong idea.

If it's not unusual to see non couples there, then even better, but I wouldn't stop me from going. I saw the thread with all the photos from the brunch and I officially decided I was going to book it, it all looks so good that it makes me weep just thinking about trying to eat it all popcorn::

I've eaten brunch and dinner at Palo. Usually solo. On the 2010 TA, I was with a group in the private dining room for both brunch and dinner. On my last cruise (April 2011), one of the couples from my dining table booked a second brunch and invited all of us from our table (table of 6 - 2 couples and 2 solos). We had a great time.

Have fun and make sure to have some of the cantelope with prosciutto (spelling?) and the chocolate creme de pots for me.

Speaking for myself, there could have been aliens giving birth at their table and I wouldn't have noticed. Toooooo much amazing food!

:lmao:

I agree there is toooooo much amazing food & there's no way you can sample everything in one or two sittings. On our last cruise we did go to Palo Brunch twice & still didn't get to try everything.

I REAAALLLY like the sound of the palo brunch, it looks sooo good and I really want to go to it. The thing is, I'm travelling with my best friend of the same gender. Will people get the wrong idea? Is the brunch usually a couples thing, because I can totally see the dinners being a mainly couples thing.

People get the wrong idea all the time with us (because 2 girls on a trip can only mean thing -eye roll-), but I seriously think that THIS would give the wrong impression...?

Holie,
Brunch at Palos is not a couples thing. I've seen couples, families (adults only) and single people like myself enjoying brunch. I've traveled solo on three Disney cruises this year and I always enjoy two or three meals at Palos and they are always brunch (my fav). I guess what I am saying is you shouldn't worry about what other people think just as long as you are having a good time.

I take my mum on Disney cruise every year - Fantasy next year will be our 14th DCL cruise. We always do Palo brunch and dinner and have never worried about not being a couple. Servers have never treated us any differently - in fact we have made friends with so many of them. However the best experience was at Remy and I was worried that we would look out of place as that is a romantic restaurant. Just go for it!
