I'm a book junkie. I love to read, but unfortunately it takes me no time at all to read books. I finished all of the twilight series in a week and I only read after my dd went to bed. So what should i read next? I really enjoyed Stephanie Meyers series. So suggest away other book addicts. :worship:

Well, I hated the first Twilight book, but I LOVE to read, and this month read The Help, Still Alice, and City of Thieves, and loved all 3. I'm also a big Jodi Picoult and Wally Lamb fan. The Kite Runner is one of my favorites, but if you are a book junkie you probably read that by now, plus A Thousand Splendid Suns. Snowflower and the Secret Fan, The Red Tent - right now I'm without a book, and also need suggestions!

For a more racy vampire book, the Sookie Stackhouse series springs to my. WalMart.com has a preorder of the series.

I have read this series and loved it! :thumbsup2: I'm up to book 6 (I believe there to be 9 total). It is more "racy" then Twilight (If Twilight was PG13... the Sookie Stackhouse series would be R). But its excellent. Very well written, and when your finished you can watch the series on HBO.

Theres also the Undead Series... much, much lighter then the other series mentioned.. but still very good.. a fun, beach read...

And the Aisling Grey series (which later turns into the Silver Dragons series)

If you're like my SIL, you start reading the Twilight series all over again...and again...LOL. I think she's read the series like 3 times so far. She says she just can't get enough. I've never read it myself.

I re-read a lot of my books, but i borrowed twilight from my neighbor so i'm going to wait till i get my kindle to buy them. I'm always a little sad to finish a book, character's become part of me (yes i have an outside life too). I had an english teacher once who said that you read a book once to get the jist of the story, you read it again to really learn it, and the 3rd time it becomes yours. I like this theory and i'm always looking for new books to become a part of me.

I haven't read Twilight yet, and though I plan to I keep getting distracted by other books.

If you like the paranormal type book then might I suggest the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs and her the Alpha and Omega series. Read Mercy Thompson first. The books are: Moon Called, Blood Bound, Iron Kissed and then Bone Crossed. The Alpha and Omega series starts as a short story in an anthology called On the Prowl and the short story is a must read or you miss a LOT when you get into the nitty gritty of the next two books - Cry Wolf and Hunting Ground. Alpha and Omega is a spin-off of the Mercy Thompson books.

If you liked twilight (and YA fiction/action/suspense/romance) I would suggest the mortal instruments series. I think I actually liked this series better than twilight. There are 3 books, city of bones, city of ashes, and city of glass.

Definitely read Stephanie Meyer's other novel, The Host. It's better than the Twilight series IMHO.
