Just finished Race for Life

Am just back from Singleton Park where I did this years Race for Life. We only walked but had a great time and it was really worthwhile. There were so many people there and reading their signs on their backs where they named people they were running for was quite touching.

The weather was terrible though! It rained all morning and the ground was so muddy - it looked like Glastonbury! I was literally soaked to the skin.

Anyone else doing / done it this year?

Well done you It is such a wonderful thing to participate in.

I am doing the one in Glasgow next month with my friend. I'm not running for anyone but my friend is running for her mum, who she lost to cancer.

Have raised £49 so far, still got some sponsers to go. I have also found it difficult to get sponsers because I talked most of my work mates into doing it too, and I would have normally asked them for money!

Still, it all helps. Good luck to anyone who has yet to do it.
