Just finished my phone interview...STILL nervous

I have my interview tomorrow evening (yeah, I know, I'm slow in the application process :) ). Any pointers or tips about the kinds of questions they ask or what sort of things I should be thinking about in order to better prepare for it?

Make sure you know why you want to be in the college program and what makes you think you would be a good fit for it. I was asked that, if I had ever been to Disney World (had fun with that! Haha), and to share experiences I've had with an outstanding cast member and a not so good one. Then, some roles have specific questions and some don't. I was asked questions about merchandise, attractions, and full service food and beverage, but not QSFB which I ended up getting. Most of my interview just felt like a fun conversation sharing my disney world experiences. It doesn't seem like something to stress over. Good Luck!

I was asked why I thought I should do the college program now, about my past jobs and about a time I made a customer's day (even though none of my past jobs really had me dealing with customers, luckily, I had volenteered at the zoo and was able to give her a story she really grabbed onto). I then got role questions about hospitality and full service food and beverage, nothing about character attending, my third choice, or about attractions, which I ended up getting. I personally liked my interview and we laughed and exchanged stories and had a good time. Mine lasted exactly twenty minutes when she said she had to go.

Edit! I was also asked how I felt about living and working with people from diverse backgrounds.

I had my phone interview March 2 and this is how it went:
- She called me around 10:25 (my appointment was 10:15) so don't get freaked out if they aren't right on time

-she then went over how the interview was going to go

-she made sure the information on my application was right

- and then background stuff like do I have a driver's license, we talked about my major a little (nursing)

- then we went over the roles I had checked off. I checked off a lot so she asked me what my top 3 was. (Attractions, Character Attendent, Life Guard). She didn't ask why I wanted those or anything

-Why do you want to work for Disney?

-then she spend the rest of the interview talking about my past work expierence. I have had 4 jobs all dealing with children. So she just asked me question about each job. How many kids do I watch a and for how long are they with me.

- at the end she asked If i had any question. I asked if I could request a park. She said a lot of people do I said Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom

- she said I should hear back in about 3-4 weeks

- she laughed and awed at a lot of my answers and said I have a passion for kids and it shows

TIPS:
1. Smile. It defently makes you sound better on the phone:)
2. Be enthusiastic and show how much you really want to work at Disney
3. Stress the roles you really want
4. I didn't get asked it but if you are asked if you would mind working QSFB don't be afraid to say no

I hope this helps! and Good Luck!!:goodvibes

My interview was today! I was nervous until I picked up the phone and started talking.
It was basically like veryone has said already.

-She went over that she was typing my responses, so to ignore the typing, and that someone was listening in for training purposes, but we'd be the only ones conversing.
-She went over the Disney Look and made sure I fit it.
-She specifically asked about tattoos, and if I had a drivers' license.
-She asked about my jobs, and to talk in depth of one of my choosing. She asked what I liked most about my job, and something I have difficulty with in my job.
-She asked why I wanted to work for Disney.
-She asked if I understood the wages as well as the living situation, and asked if I would have any negative thoughts on the living situation.
-She asked how I would feel about being away from home for 7 months.
-We then went over the roles I checked, and she asked if I would be into doing QSFB, custodial, or housekeeping.
-Then she talked specifically about the roles. She asked me to rank them in my order of preference. She then talked a little bit, reminding me of what each role was, then asked questions about each role.
-After talking about the roles, she confirmed again that I was ok with the wages, the look, and that my email was correct.
-Then she gave me the opportunity to ask questions (fun fact: I learned she went to my University, and that she knew the places I was talking about that I worked, and we chatted about how it's changed, and how she thought it was nice to talk to someone from the area again!)

I feel really good about my interview. Just be as excited as you genuinely are about the program, and I'm sure you'll do awesome!

Oh, and my interview was 28 minutes long. It seems to be longer than most peoples'... so that must be good, right? :cool1:

Hey guys! I just wanted to post an update. I was so worried earlier about my interviewer, but all that worry was for nothing. I got accepted in 5 days and got my number one role (even though I said I'd be open to QSFB when I got nervous). :)

Good luck to the rest of you!!

I would love to be a BBB hostess!! What kind of questions did the interviewer ask?

Mine only lasted for 19 minutes.. Is that a very bad thing??
