To put people's mind at ease, I re-read the Terms and Conditions on my ressie I made and it says:

"Rate Revisions

Room rates are guaranteed as long as your reservation is not changed. "

So based on that, to me that means anyone who used a code and has the confirmation # is fine.

However if you look at the bottom of the second column in the second paragraph under General Conditions and Responsibilty it also says 'Disney reserves the right to decline, accept, or retain any Guest as a participant in its packages at any time. If a package is cancelled by Disney, Disney shall have no responsibility beyond the refund of all monies paid to Disney for the package.' Two paragraphs down from that it says 'Terms and conditions are subject to change by Disney without notice.'

So in other words Disney can do whatever they want at anytime they want and we can't do a thing about it. The CM (Sean) that I spoke to in Guest Services said that Disney has alot of new CMs on the floor, that the 40% off codes are truly PIN codes meant for only certain households, and that the people who got the discounts who did not have the PIN attached to their profile would not have the discounts honored, and Disney was working on the problem.

That is for packages, but room only laws and policies differ.I believe it says for room only that as long as no modifications are made the reservations stands.
 

It's funny how different cm's give different information.

I just spoke to a really nice cm, he told me the code is supposed to have a pin attached to it, but if the person knows about the code, they are still honoring it and giving te 40% off. He was not a new cm, he was well aware of how the code works, but was still honoring it.

I asked him if the reservation could be cancelled and his response was, once you have a reservation number you are all set.

I guess it depends on who you get on the phone.

It will be interesting to see how Disney handles this.

That is correct. Under my terms in my room only reservation it only says rates cannot be changed if reservation is left alone. It doesn't say anything about about reserving the right to change. That is for packages.
 
Isn't it odd that the people who are not getting the code (for whatever reason) are the ones being told that its null and the people who did get it are being told it is fine? :confused3 I truly wonder how this will all play out...
 
Given the different stories coming from CM's on this..

I think one safe thing to say .. is that none of us know for sure how this will all play out ...

Has anyone actually had their package cancelled or pulled by WDTC? Those who have packages should not be worried about anything unless they heard the dreaded news direct from Disney.
I think speculation and finger pointing has gotten many worked up for nothing. Once a long time ago I got all worked up over some postings on the Dis that panned out to nothing. That was a lesson learned! (Off my soap box. ;) )

Do you have a confirmation from one of the rooms booked with these codes? What does it say under "Resort Information".. where it says check in time, check out time etc??? That is where they print the code you booked with & what is needed at time of check in.. That is what I want to see.. I cannot get a hold of my confirmation.. my TA hasn't gotten it emailed to her yet & when I try to log onto it, it says cannot retrieve at this time??? TA said that is because it was booked thru her & confirmations will go to her, then she forwards to me..
