Been having a clear out and came across my first holiday package booking for DLP March 2004, 2 adults and 2 children with Kids Go Free and Extra Day & Night Free, staying 3 nights/4 days @ Hotel Cheyenne, flying from Bristol wiht BA, VEA shuttle included.
Optional extras Character Breakfast and Character Tea Party prepaid - Total £750.69.

Compared to our trip this year Flights with Flybe from Cardiff priced up at just over £600.00 although I booked them through Airmiles - phew !
Package booked direct with Disney 4 nights/5 days @ Hotel Cheyenne 3 adults and 1 child with Kids Go Free and Extra Day and night free £ 499.00.
RS Transports shared shuttle £120, it's cheaper for us than VEA.

Total so far without even thinking about any meals £ 1,219.00 :scared1: I daren't tell OH how much this trip would've cost.

At these prices I honestly think this will be our last trip for a while, our 2006 trip staying at NPB Admiral's Floor for 5 nights 6 days travel with Eurostar, included Buffallo Bill's show, 2 mornings character breakfasts, tickets to Sea Life (although we never got there) and Lucky Nugget Buffet and we got the VIP breakfast at NPB and other little perks and it cost just under £1200.00.

I think having both my 2007 trips paid for by Tesco Clubcard through Leger, and I suppose my eldest moving into the adult category I just hadn't realised how expensive it is. :scared:
or does everyone else think it's a reasonable increase/ difference bearing in mind the 5 years since our first visit ?

I know what you mean. Once our youngest is 3, we will have to book two rooms and our eldest will be classed as an adult.:scared1: I know that it will be out of our price range then. That is why I went for DLH this time, as it is likely that we will have to go 'bargain basement' the next time we go.

How odd...I was actually discussing this with Ellie last night and we thought our trips were getting cheaper!

In 2004 I paid £704.00 for two adults for 4 nights/5days at the Hotel Santa Fe, travelling by Eurostar.

In October 2008 I paid £39 for the accomodation for 5nights/6days, £103 for fuel, ferry and tolls and £292.00 for two Dream Annual Passes giving a total of £434 for 2 adults and 1 child.

In December 2008 I paid £283.00 (inc ferry, petrol and tolls) for 5 adults and 1 child in the Davy Crocket Ranch for 3nights/4days.

In March 2009 I paid £118.40 for 2nights/3days for 1 adult and 1 child travelling by Eurostar.

i am more suprised that you have kept holiday details for nearly 5 yrs :scared1: :rotfl:

i just hope they keep up with the offers as if they dont then i will be priced out of going

last trip i paid 927 for four adults and an infant free, for 5 nights at the santa fe

for my feb trip i paid 595 for two adults and an infant free for 6 nights at the santa fe

so i think my feb trip was roughly cheaper as if i even added two adults it would only bring it up to the 900 mark and still with an extra day

We're doing a similar trip 5 yrs on too. I don't have exact prices from 5 yrs ago, but I think it was around £800 for 2 adults, 2 kids, flights, shuttle transfer, 4 nights at santa fe (no extra meals except a character b'fast).
This time it's about £1100 for 2 adults, 2 kids, flights, shuttle transfer, 4 nights at cheyenne (half board).

I don't think that's too much of a price rise, but we did change our proposed trip dates from oct half term to feb half term, as that would have cost about £1600 for the same package :scared1:

it is likely that we will have to go 'bargain basement' the next time we go.

I'm thinking that AP's have to be the way to go, I thought the Shareholders discount would've been a bonus this year but in fact was quoted more for room only with the discount than a package at the same hotel, same dates.

There are ways of doing it cheaper, drive, stay offsite, swap my kids for younger ones :rotfl: are some of the things I'm going to have to consider. Eldest DS is bound to stop wanting to come soon, although knowing my luck he'll find himself a girlfriend and I'll end up having to pay for her as well.

Rachel I keep anything and everything related to my Disney trips, but thought it's about time I let go of some it. :rotfl:

Thanks for the input everyone, will certainly have to research the options/prices a bit more before booking our next trip.................typical DISer already thinking one trip ahead. ;)
