Just discovered M:A:S:H

It wasn't a must watch show for me when it was in first runs . But I watched it once in a while. When it went into syndication, I probably watched it less.

Love MASH. I’m sure I’ve seen every episode at least once. Watched it as a kid in the 70’s and later the many reruns. My father served in the army during the Korean War and it was his favorite show ever.

It definitely changed over the years from a standard sitcom (with laugh track), to a mix of drama and comedy, with more serious plots. The characters became more developed and more realistic, IMO. Really good writing overall and great ensemble cast. I watched the finale at a party in my college dorm, with everyone dressed for the theme.

It gets good once BJ leaves.
So I’m guessing this is a joke and you don’t care for the show, which is fine.

As you may know, BJ was on until the very end, and (spoiler alert) in the finale was the last person to leave the 4077th camp.

The best years of M*A*S*H were when Alan Alda was in front of the camera rather than behind it.
