iF ANYONE HAS ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE 3 NIGHT, JUST ASK.

We had a great time. As much as I'd love to do a long trip report, reality has hit, and I don't have enough time.

Here are some basic stats:

Feb 24 Wonder trip:
We are a family of 5 (3 boys, ages 8, 11, 13)
We had connecting rooms-7504/7506 (Cat. 8)
No excursions.
We were able to dock @ Castaway
We rebooked for a 7 night on ship.
We are all suffering from withdrawl....

:wave2:

We were on the 2/24 Wonder also! We had a great time! My kids are 4, 6 & 8 and really enjoyed the kids clubs. We booked late and ended up with late seating, which was really hard on my littlest. She fell asleep during Pirate Night dinner :rotfl: . There were no fireworks yet, but we still had an awesome time!

Glad to hear you rebooked... I ended up switching a previous booking through Dreams Unlimited when I got back. We are now going on the 11/4/06 Magic Western instead of the 4 day 11/12/06 Wonder. Yay!

:cheer2:

i was not on your cruise (though i wish i was!) but i too booked this cruise late and have late seating....except for your youngest one falling asleep, how did this seating work for you? We are planning for our younger ones to eat room service or eat with the kids clubs before we eat.

txaggie94gigem, My kids were 4, 6 & 8. We ate dinner together 2 out of the 3 nights (we did Tritons as adults). They did pretty well. The first night everyone was awake and excited for Animator's Palate. They were even awake enough to hit the kids club afterward (10pm). The second night the cruise started catching up with them. My son was extra hungry and my littlest fell asleep after her pineapple.

I don't think I would do it for longer than three days for the little ones. The days worked out fine, we did the early show, then a quick show before dinner. We, as adults, actually didn't like the late seating because it's just not normal for us to eat a huge, filling meal at 9pm, not finishing until 10pm. We didn't feel that great going to bed and really, really not hungry for breakfast!

As far as the dinners went, the kids liked Animator's Palate and Pirate night at Parrot Cay.

Were you happy with the connecting rooms in Category 8? We are thinking about booking this category. Thanks! :earsboy:

hi...we were on the 2-24 wonder also...we also booked late and had late dinner..it was me, dh, ds age 12 that turned 13 on the boat on sat, and dh who is 6 months old..the late worked out okay for us...we also had ap first night which was great, second night pc and we left 6 month old at flounders reef on third night, tritons...we really enjoyed the pirate party (my dh was the pirate from north carolina)he couldn't believe he got pulled up on stage...i too would be glad to answer any questions anyone has..we had cruised before but this was our first disney cruise.

Did you 13 year old go with the "teen" activities or just hang out with you? I'm taking my 11 yo and 13 yo daughters in two weeks and they do like to hang out together but I'm not sure that the 13 yo will want to "downgrade" an age group to be with her sister. Thoughts???

our 13 year old hung out with us and he really enjoyed the pin trading...that was the highlight of each day for him...he really wasn't interested in the younger activities and with him just turning 13 he didn't really want to do the teen stuff either...but he had a great time...

We really enjoyed the rooms we had. We will be doing the same thing on our next cruise. I think it was about $100 or so more for the two rooms as opposed to the cat. 4. It was well worth it IMHO. The space was like having a suite, and we never felt crowded. I think we may have been too crowded in the cat 4. I was concerned about missing a balcony, but the windows are so huge, it's a great view.

Keep in mind that older children cannot downgrade to a younger group. From what I'e heard, they are pretty strict about this. And your 11 y/o wouldn't be allowed up with the teens. There is still plenty to do together though.
