We just got back from adding 100 points at BCV. We have 400 at OKW that we got in 1993. (300 plus 100 add on)
I had been looking at resales at BWV but I only wanted about 100 points. With closing costs I didn't really find much of a cost savings when dealing with only 100 points.
I wanted BCV anyway. Especially after looking at it. DH pointed out that he always thought the placement of the door between the living room and 2nd bedroom in the 2BD unit at BWV was not in a good place. It kind of breaks up the living room. The door is up at the front in BCV.
My use year is April. The new points are for April 2002 so I get all of the current year's points. They are also allowing me to bank them all them to next year even though the 100% window has passed. There was something about with price increase they are setting the 100% window to what is normally the 50% for new points.
And, the prorated maintenance fees start on my purchase date, today, rather than back on Apr 1st. Maybe it's always been that way on the maintenance fees but I thought it was going to go back to the beginning of the use year.
Now I'm just wondering if I should have gone for 150 rather than 100 points.
