so we had a snow day today! :cool1:
my mom went to work, and didnt wake me up- which is cool.
but she also didnt set out my adderall. so i didnt take it today, and i have been eating and sleeping ALL day.

does that happen to anyone else?

Okay so its meds....

Well ummm if you think you're gonna get sympathy from us yet again...Ummm I don't think so.... I take three different mads every morning... By myself..Every morning...

I would proably have an asthma attack and die if I didn't...

Ummm if you're old enough to drive you're old enough to take your meds...

Thank God for Adderall!!!!!!!!
Four kids in my class have to take it and.....lets just say things really don't move that smoothly without it.

adderall and medications like that are actually a very bad idea.

I know they're bad, but,so is never being able to concentrate or sit still and disrupting people because of it.
My mom's friend's kid had to get adhd medicine and they couldn't get the right medicine for him or the right dosage for a while, now he's good, but the medicine made him really sick before they did. He's doing better in school than he was and all around happier.

I think that if you're disturbing the people around you because of a disability, you should be removed. Legally, in my state, that can't be done. Disabled students who are disruptive can not be removed. If a student was just sitting there screaming, he/she could not be taken out of the class room.

ADHD medication is too readily given out. kids who don't really have it, are getting it. Then with that, you have to question, is it a real disorder? They've come up with a disorder when a child can be good at school, be good for others, but is a hell demon when it comes to his parents. They medicate for the child not minding his parents.

In a few years, the first generation of ADD/ADHD kids are going to be coming off their medication. They're lazy, lethargic, and quiet when they're on it. When they're not, they're going to bounce off the walls, because they never did when they were little. Thats going to be this generation soon.

I'm anti add/adhd medication. But thats just my opinion.

Trust me,in my state it can't be done either.
I agree, doctors should be really sure a kid has adhd or add,my uncle's freind's kid got messed up pretty bad for a while because of misdiagnosis,he got depressed and had to go to Pych for a few weeks.I believe it should definetly be given if doctors are definetly positivly absolutly sure.I wouldn't approve of it otherwise.

I've been in the classroom when desks get thrown by a mentally ******** student. I've had a student use the restroom on himself, and we had to stay in the room. I've had a student just sit and scream.

but both of them stayed. and I learned how to deal with the mentally disabled. To this day, I can still calm someone down when they're having a melt down, simply because, I've had to.

When you remove care givers and place them in a classroom, the fellow students become the caregivers. We have to take care of that student. I don't think it should work that way. no 2nd grader should be in charge of someone else.

well, if youre ok without your meds, i bet your mom wont care if you dont take it. i mean, as long as your not at school. i know that when i had to take meds like five years ago, there were really bad behavioral side-effects, so i dont take them any more and im just fine.

who said anything about sympathy?? i was wondering is that happens to any one else.

Don't you think you are old enough to take your own medicine?

yeah i am.
but last year someone accused me of selling it. >_<
because i wouldnt give him some, so he yelled out "why wont you sell me adderall!?" and the teacher heard, and told hte office and it was just a big thing. so now my mom says "well this way if they ever say anything again, ill be able to say NO, i gave it to her, and watched her take it every day."
and stuff like that.

My mother NEVER wakes me up.
I have set my alarm clock every day for the past two years. I get up at pretty much the same time everyday and can do things myself. I pack my own lunch.

However, my brother is so irresponsable it drives me nuts. He's in grade 12, and still needs to be woken up by himself. He doesn't set his alarm clock. If we don't wake him up he blames it on US. Like two minutes after we wake him up, he falls back to sleep and if we don't wake him up AGAIN he blames it on US.
He is not going to deal well when we aren't around to baby him.

Ok you guys we just went through this whole argument thing, lets not go through this again.

im not trying to start a fight or anything, i was just curious. :confused3
but i guess if people are gonna start fighting about it ill just drop it.
sorry i was curious. *not in an angry tone*

I usually wake up ten minutes after the alarm clock goes off, so I used to just set it ten minutes early just in case.. But my parents got so sick of it they offered to wake me up.
