Friends of ours just got back from BW, and they say it was quite empty, as were the other resorts they visited. They say the parks were empty and that they walked onto every ride except Test Track which had a 10 minute wait.

We all know that Disney has closed French Quarter temporarily, as well as certain floors of other hotels.

Being that they were offering annual pass discounts even before the effects of 9/11, I'm surprised to see people on this board still asking $10/pt. for points. Is it still possible to get such a high price?

$10 still works out to be less expensive than most rates available at H-A-F-H resorts.

I got some points for Jan at less than $8/point two weeks ago. so if you ask around you can get under $10 easy, the asking price is just that an asking price negotiation is the key.

That's odd. I read a post by Richyams (I think) just the other day on the DVC board complaining (a relative term) how crowded the parks were, that this is supposed to be a slow time of year. I also spoke with MS this last week and was told that very few cancellations are coming in, particularly after the New Year holiday.
