just walked in dd8's room to find her laying on her back, blanket on the floor, fan on high, and arms and legs set like she's making snow angels LOL...guessin she's hot too

left the ac on low overnite..it didn't get below 74 here...going to be a hot sticky weekend..I can tolerate the heat..but not the humidity~

Mine stay on at 60 all night long. I like it cold when I am sleeping! We rented a motor home recently and it said not to put the A/C under 70 or it would freeze up...it was miserable sleeping with it that hot in there! The weekend looks hot so the a/c will probably be on the whole time. We have plans on Saturday from 9-4 and then from 5 till midnight but I will leave the A/C on for the dumb dog. He hates the heat. In this weather I am lucky I can get him outside to do his business before he is scratching to get back inside.

ours is on 24/7 (thermostat regulates) to maintain a liveable temp-no humidity here but it's gonna get to 105 degrees by saturday!

We've had it on since April or May - 24/7.

I live in SE Texas. Our A/C has been on (pretty much constantly) for months.

Where are you located? We've had our AC on here in Georgia since April!!

When I woke up this morning it was already 78 degrees! I just came from lunch and swear my skin sizzled! :scared:

Our AC has been on since May-ish. Going without is NOT an option at our house! We usually hold steady around 70.

After going about 3 years here without using A/C, we now use the A/C nearly year-round.

Ours is on 24/7, with a thermostat regulating it. But then we're topping out over 100 with high humidity, so we need it. In fact, our bedroom keeps reading in the 80's at night. I think our AC is having trouble keeping up with the heat/humidity.

I don't think our A/C unit even has an OFF switch!!! :guilty:

you took the words out of my mouth (or hands)....;)

I don't think we ever turn ours off!

I may have turned mine off for a few weeks back in Feb, but for the most part it runs almost all year long.

Brandy -

We have three A/C units in our house, and have had them on alsmot 24/7 for probably a month or more. This weekend is going to be a scorcher up here, so do your best to stay cool.

:lmao:

I was sitting here thinking, "People turn off their AC's?" Ours runs all year, except for those few times it gets in the 40's and 50's.

I have a couple of window units but they're not turned on. It's only in the low 80s here and it's raining so don't really need it on.
