Just curious, where else do you like to go?

Other than Disney, is there any other part of the world that you look forward to going or visit regularly? Europe, Canada, East Coast West Coast, Hawaii, Aruba, etc.?

I love going to Disney but I also love going to Europe to visit relatives. We rotate each year where we go. Anyone else do something similar?

I really want to do the Grand Canyon and yellowstone. If the economy ever picks up, I'm going to get there. :rotfl: I also want to do a cruise once.

Dh & I did the French Carribbean alot before we had kids. We love the beaches there. St. Maartean is our favorite

Outer banks (Corolla) every summer and Hawaii when we can afford it.

Nah, we just go to the cabin in the beautiful north woods of Minnesota. That and an occasional trip to the Badlands in South Dakota, etc. Otherwise we're content staying home...maybe an occasional business trip for DH here and there, but we're not very exciting. And he has an aversion to flying in a "thin metal tube over shark infested waters" so I doubt we'll be going anywhere overseas in THIS lifetime!;)

We go to the mountains in Blowing Rock, North Carolina during the last week of July and the week between Christmas and New Years and sometimes for weekends here and there. Actually, we are leaving on Saturday for two nights to enjoy the fall colors and take the kids to ride the Ghost Train at Tweetsie Railroad. I just love that little theme park! We also try to get to the beach in either NC or SC at least once per year.

We go to WDW twice a year but my husband and I also take one vacation a year to someplace we have not been before (the rule is NO REPEAT). This year we went to Paris and Disneyland Paris; next year we are doing the Costa Rican Adventures by Disney tour.

Cape May NJ is our second home, and I'm thrilled to know that our DSs, DDiL, DGC love it as we do!

We enjoy going to National Parks, and since 1991, I've kepts tabs of where we've been with the Passport. When we were in Yellowstone in September, we were chatting with a seasonal ranger in the Ranger Museum and she was glad to talk about the different parks. She liked seeing a passport with lots and lots of stamps. I like the passport as a memory guide, I look at the stamp and date and remember the trips. They are great and inexpensive.

Finally, we love cruises. Next year, it's 3 night Disney with family and then in September, a Northern European cruise that stops in Gdansk, Poland, and I'm finally going to the land of my ancestors! We have a spring break cruise planned for '10 as well.

We are on an every other year to WDW schedule.:) Other years we have done Wash. DC, London, Grand Canyon, Hawaii, Alaska (cruise), Grand Cayman-Jamaica (cruise), San Diego, Key West-Cozumel (cruise), Minnesota, etc......:yay:
Pretty much new places each time, other than a short trip to Michigan each year with our extended family. We love to travel!

We try to mix it up a little bit but can really only do one "real" vacation a year. We love Hawaii and try to go once every 5 years and we try to do Disney at least once a year if we have the vaca time and then we bounce around a little inbetween. This past summer we did back-to-backs on the Wonder + WDW. We will do a few long weekend get-a-ways here & there to more local places. Last fall we spent a weekend at a Hyatt Resort on the Chesapeake Bay with a group of friends. This January we doing a long ski weekend in Western Maryland (with the same group of friends). We have also been known to pitch a tent for a weekend or two...this year only once...last year once at a Delaware beach & once for a white water rafting trip in PA... We've also been to St. John and Mexico... So no real patterns for us other than Hawaii is on a schedule.

We like to visit new places (that's why we keep trying the diff. DVC resorts) and I would love to try to trade out with II but we need more points AND more vaca time! As another poster mentioned, the Grand Canyon would be an awesome trip sometime.

We go to Yellowstone and Cheyenne, Wyoming during Frontier Days and recently, lots of trips to Rocky Mountain National Park as we have just bought a couple acres of horse property outside of it for an eventual log home and we are already so homesick for it!

We also go every year to Las Vegas in December to go the National Finals Rodeo and stay at the ranch where we got married.

Our other US favorite is Monterey, California. Outside the US I like to travel to the Alps where my marginal French and German can get me through!

We take small, fairly frequent mini-vacations to Galveston and San Antonio (both easy drives from Houston.) We try to do at least one cruise a year, although we skipped last year because of some health issues and then a decision to do a longer trip to WDW instead.

Before we had our DS, we went on longer trips (like Hawaii) and when he gets a little older we'll try that again. We're sticking with Disney and cruise vacations while he's young.

Weekend trips to Connecticut for quick must have getaways, sometimes we change that up with a B&B stay out on Long Island wine country. We like Hilton Head, have been to Vegas, Boston, but mostly DVC.

I am in the middle of thinking ahead....way ahead as I really want to take my kids to Sedona/Grand Canyon.

Has anyone done an Adventure's By Disney with just adults? Is it something I should consider? They seem to be kids oriented.

TIA

We're very predictable.

If it's not WDW, we rent a house in Stratton, VT for a week in the summer. Before we entered crazy-go-to-WDW-4-times-in-one-year 2008, we would normally alternate - one year to WDW, the next year to Vermont. That will most likely be our future plan but with extra WDW thrown in since we bought DVC.

DH and I can rarely travel together because of our dog. He is generous enough to let me travel with friends. Besides WDW, I enjoy cruises (hey, Bobbi, I LOVED Gdansk--beautiful, historic!) and I hope to return to Italy for a longer stay someday. DH and I miss our trips to Hawaii and hope to be able to enjoy them together again at some point. We do driving vacations two or three times a year with the dog to Door County, WI.
