In my previous life, I did research and student support in the field of Color Science at RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology).

While I have left academia for sunnier playgrounds, my DH, Mark, continues teaches Color and Imaging Science at RIT. Color Science

I'm a Project Engineer for a smallish (but growing!) company that makes ice machines. (Somebody's gotta do it!) I get to design the stuff (engineering), model the stuff (prototyping), test the stuff(testing), implement the stuff(manufacturing) and see the stuff sold. All in all it's pretty cool.

I am loving life as a SAHM and a Director for a company called Taste of Home Entertaining(a party plan company). My DH is an anesthesiologist who is bored to tears and wishes he could switch careers and do something totally creative and different...(he often talks about working for Disney with a sad puppy dog look in his eyes!) My goal in Taste of Home is to earn enough so that he can do something that he loves and is passionate about.

Our 18 year old son leaves for Marine Corp. Boot Camp in 9 days...so hopefully soon we will be the proud parents of a US Marine.
