Just curious ~ How long would you wait?

With all this talk lately of possible 5 hour wait times at Star Tours, and 3 hour wait times at Little Mermaid, I'm just curious to hear from other DISers.
What's the longest line you've waited in at Disney?
What's the most you'd be willing to wait?

I think the longest line I ever waited in was two hours for Splash Mountain, and that was back shortly after it first opened. I was much younger then! lol
I remember waiting in that line with 3 of my friends so it didn't seem too bad.
Now? I don't think I could wait for more than an hour, and even that would be pushing it for me. I guess I'm getting a lot less patient in my old age. ;)

Personally, if the wait is over 45 mins I grab a FP or skip it.
Since I am able to visit DLR more than once a year now, I don't feel like I need to do every single ride.
The most I think I have ever waited was for Space, when it first re-opened. First thing we did when the park opened was head over to Space Mountain and stand in line & the wait was already at 2 hrs! And now that I think about it, why didn't we grab a FP? Were there no FP for Space when it first re-opened? Does anyone know?
Anyways, that was also my first time riding it. It was blazing hot outside, but I will never forget it!

I think we waited about 2 hours for my dd to see her first princess. Watching her in awe over Sleeping Beauty was so worth it.

2.5 hours for Rocket Rods during it's quick appearance in the parks.

Now I use FP a lot so probably 45 is the max since TSMM doesn't have it. But usually 30 minutes is fine with me.

The longest line i have ever waited in was splash mountain...it was like a 2 hour wait. will NEVER wait that long again... id say an hour but no more than that. fastpasses for me or if the ride doesnt have a fp i will just keep checking back hoping that it will eventually die down.

I waited a tad over two hours after rope drop to ride Star Tours on Friday. The atmosphere onboard was similar to seeing a midnight showing for the most anticipated movie in years. Well worth it. Waited 80 minutes again same day for it. No regrets there either. I was with my five-year-old who loved the atmosphere surrounding Star Tours' opening day too (and loved the ride even more). Memories I'll cherish forever - what Disney is all about.

You can tell we only go during September...the longest we've waited was about thirty minutes--and that was for Pixie Hollow. None of us were fans of that wait and we all thought it was too long. LOL, we're spoiled by short waits in September.

I think the longest I have done was 45-60 minutes and that was before I knew any better.

Now if it is more than 30 minutes, I don't ride it.

I'd say 45 minutes is the most we'd wait. I'd wait that for sure to ride Toy Story for example, love that ride. But since we can only get there once a year, we won't waste hours for one ride. On the other hand we also don't want to just skip rides, because we can't just come back on a slower day.

Usually we'll plan ahead for fast passes, or at opening/closing. But never more then an hour.

The longest I've ever waited was 4 hours, for the openings of Star Tours and Captain EO...in the 80s  Bless my parents...

The longest I've waited in my adult life for a Disney attraction was 2 hours for the Rocket Rods (totally not worth it, IMO) and when Space Mountain reopened after the remodel a few years ago.

Now, I'm prepared to wait however long I have to in order to get on the new & improved Star Tours...which is easy for me to say as my next planned trip is this December so I wouldn't be waiting in a long line outdoors when it's hot. In the rain, maybe, but not when it's hot :rotfl:

I'd wait up to an hour. I normally wait about 45 minutes for TSMM and Peter pan. I have four young children and they seem to do pretty well with waiting, but I think over an hour would push it.

I went in mid-January, no crowds at all. Walked on most rides so when it came to waiting we were pretty impatient, if the line was longer than 30 minutes we skipped it and came back later, although we did decide to stick out the 50 minute wait for TSMM on a Friday night.

45 minutes for TSMM is the only ride we will wait for... Otherwise typically we won't enter a line if its longer than 15 minutes... Sometimes we will wait 20 minutes for matahorn at night but otherwise we go in early, take a break through 2pm to 6pm when the park is at its craziest and go back in and stay late. Always get FPs....

I went Christmas week at WDW one year and all the lines were around 110 minute waits. I guess I could handle that, but it is pushing it. Since I know I will be returning to Disneyland in a year or 2, I don't want to give up an entire day for 1 or 2 rides.

I won't wait over 30 minutes for hardly any attraction.

Back in the day I'd say maybe 2 hours at most but that was before FP. Now if we go to parks that don't have it we just plain don't wait. I have gotten really spoiled by FP and I just HATE waiting that long in lines. I think NOW the longest I've waited is maybe an hour for TSM since it doesn't have FP but I don't even like doing that. I can tell you I would NEVER wait in those crazy lines though and more than an hour no way!

The longest I ever waited was 5+ hours for Space Mountain not long after it opened during my Grad Nite. But it was due to mechanical problems and line cutting. And it also took us on hour to wait in line for food. It was insanely busy that day. I'd never, ever do that again, but it was what you just had to do. Love the logic of teenagers!

Nowdays? Max of 45 minutes. Thankfully my kids would rather ride something else rather than wait.

I don't think I could wait for more than an hour, and even that would be pushing it for me.

This is exactly how I feel! I get the whole new ride thing, but there is no way I would wait in line for hours at a time. I'm satisfied knowing that I can always go back and try it on another visit. After seeing the pictures that were posted in another thread, it blows my mind how long the line was!!!
