Just Curious....How Come PH Pluses Don't Include Disney Quest?

I've been debating and debating about what PH's to get for our December trip....Paying for Pluses may be a waste if it's too cold to use the open water park and the PH's Pluses don't include Disney Quest (but it'd sure be nice if they did!) and I was wondering if anyone knew why Quest isn't included? Isn't Quest the same price as the water parks?

And just for the heck of it...other than the Ultimate PH's are there any PH's that have Quest included as a Plus?

Hi,

I looked into that, its annoying because I would rather trade water park plusses for one trip to Disney Quest!!

Other than "special" park hoppers that can be purchased if you are going to a Disney sport event or Disney convention the only park hopper that includes Disney Quest are the 7 day ones. These tickets never expire though so if you are only going for a few days then you could still use it when you go back in a year or two.

Beware though because some websites sell 7 day park hoppers that don't include Disney Quest so make sure that the ticket includes Disney Quest before you buy it!!!!

I bought our 7 day + 4 Plus Park hoppers directly from Disney through the web-site, and they didn't include Disney Quest. I'm disappointed to know that I could have had DQ included if I had purchased different 7 day PH tickets. Oh well, next time I'll do my homework!

Who has the 7 day tickets with Disney Quest included? I haven't come across them anywhere.

As to why it's not an option on all the tickets, someone mentioned that it may be because of the relatively small size of DQ. It could potentially become way too crowded if everyone had the option to go there using their plusses. I don't know, that was mentioned by someone else somewhere, I can't even remember where, but it sounds reasonable.

Why can't you use your pluses at DQ? Because it's not that big and would be extremely full. The water parks and PI are waaaaay bigger than DQ.

We've been to the water parks in Nov, Dec and Jan. We'll be back next Jan. The pools are heated. It's just the getting in and getting out that might be cold. But we had beautiful weather last Jan and went several times.

Who or where do you get the 7 day tickets with DQ as a Plus Option?

I have 7 day Plus tickets and the options available are PI, water parks or Wide World of Sports. I bought these in December of 2002.

On the other hand, my sister has tickets from a previous trip that she said also have miniature golf and DQ as options. She even used the golf and DQ options. I can't remember when she went though for sure, just that it was in January.

Maybe she's mistaken? We're both getting older so maybe our memories aren't as good as they used to be.

If you buy a 6 or 7 day php from http://paramountinternationaltravel.com/ as a bonus they give you 1 admission to DQ. It comes as an extra plus on the pass not a seperate voucher and it doesnt expire.

Do you have to call or have a special code or something to get that deal? I didn't see it on the website. It said this:

It's like a bonus gift for ordering the 6 or 7 day hoppers from paramount. All you have to do is order it from them and the admission comes with it. We just got those in June for my bil/sil and it is printed right on the hopper---1 admission to DQ. Of course we knew this before we bought them but I thought the admission would come in the form of a voucher--like the breakfast vouchers they used to give--only now its a DQ admission.
Its not noted on the website either--just like the FITS passes are not listed either but they do sell them.

The 7 day hopper with a Disney Quest admission was a promotional pass, not a standard pass. From time to time other promotional passes, many with expiration dates, have been offered by non-Disney sources but DIsney sanctioned the issuance and provided the passes. One was a twenty day hopper with unlimited Disney QUest.

If you don't use up all the plusses, save them for your next trip.

Fridge won't restart after power failure? Probably not damage from lightning or power surge. Rather it may be in the middle of a defrost cycle which comes around every several hours or so. Look for a screwdriver adjustment near or under the temperature control knob and gently turn it. Feel free to call the manufacturer if you have questions.

To get back to the original question about why DQ isn't included, I think it might have to do with the fact that when DQ opened, the pricing structure was different. All attractions/activities in DQ were on a point system; you bought a ticket with X number of points on it, and used them up as you did different things, and could add more points to the ticket as required. I don't know that they have even considered adding DQ to the PH+ tickets since they changed the pricing structure; since the company has abandoned the DQ concept, they may not give it much thought anymore...

IMHO, the reason is that DQ can barely handle the guests that use it now - there are often long lines to use the attractions once you get inside.

If DQ was a plus admission, it would be at capacity nearly every day and the lines would be even longer!

Can you imagine waiting in a line waiting for others to leave just so you could go in and wait in more lines to use the the attractions?

It sounds nice to have DQ as an option, but if it ever happens, we would not like the result!

I disagree that attendance has anything to do with the decision. Ultimate Park Hoppers at Deluxe Annual Passes already include unlimited DQ attendance. My guess is that they want the money. The amount taken in per guest/per hour is likely higher than all the other parks.

From my experience, DQ has short lines until the parks start closing. Rain usually brings people in early as well. Anybody going to DQ in the morning/afternoon will have it easy going until after 7:00pm.

Also in my experience, the increase in lines in the last couple years is due to the amount of things not working. During our last trip we noticed that half of the available stations at any given attraction were not running. It seemed to be a combination of things being borken and not enough staff to run at full capacity.

Central Florida Tickets and Travel has some special park hopper passes that had an option of Pleasure Island OR Disney Quest with them - these were only available by phone (407) 932-2080
You could call and still see if they have them and what they can do for you (I think the tickets I am thinking of had an expiration date of Dec. 31... be sure to ask about all the specific details of the offer. )
