Who watches the Magic Kingdom fireworks from Mickey's Toontown Fair? I discovered that a few years ago, and when I don't eat at California Grill and watch them that's where we go. The cm's say that right behind Toontown Fair is where the fireworks are actually set off at. Pretty neat and it's usally a ghost town back there............plus, the cm's can tell you where you can see Tinkerbell! :goodvibes

We've seen them from Toon Town too. We really enjoyed them there, although my DH felt as though he was "missing the show" DD loved it, she rode the Barnstormer about 18 times in a row!!! :rotfl:

yes we caught this on one of our trips by accident and it was absolutely breath taking.

Ssssshhhhhh!! You're giving away my secret! Now EVERYONE will want to watch from there!

We accidently watched from there last year when we were back there looking for DS's lost backpack right about the time the fireworks started. :sad2:

We've watched from behind the Castle. Is that about the same (fireworks all around you and all)? I was thinking that I definitely wanted to be in front of the Castle next time. Maybe not.

Thanks for the heads up! I think we will try this on our upcoming trip. Don't worry to those who already know...I won't tell anyone else! ;)

I haven't watched them from there, but I can tell you that watching them while riding BTMRR is just about the most freakin' awesome ride experience EVER! We did this back in 2003 and it was just amazing. You should try it sometime. Maggie

I had heard that Toontown was ghostly then and you could catch many characters too. We may have to check this out in August.

Not anymore, you're not.

Does this mean you aren't allowed to watch from that spot anymore? :confused3

No, it means that you won't be the only one anymore :teeth:

We've watched them from toontown and from behind the castle and on the bridge in tomorrowland.

The show is made to be viewed on Main Street. If you view it anywhere else the effects will not be the same. For example some of the fireworks when viewed on MS combine to make a single image, if viewed anywhere else the fireworks don't combine properly and just look random. On MS the fireworks are centered around the castle, the castle is a very important piece of the show and if the fireworks are viewed elsewhere you're missing a huge part of the show IMO.

Yes if you view it behind the castle you'll see that some of the fireworks are fired from the fantasyland buildings, and the rest from in back of toontown. It is interesting, but IMHO the show is best when viewed on MainStreet where it is made to be viewed.

We were over in toon town once during wishes and were totally shocked by the amount of fireworks debris that were falling on us, there were tiny pellets that were pouring on us like rain and huge chunks of paper on fire yet we had to hide in mickeys garage :) till it was over.

Maybe that was just a freak thing and it must not happen often or I would think they would close toon town down during wishes. It may have been during a party so maybe the extra fireworks had something to do with it?

Youre reading my mind!!

:duck: Shut up!!! ***shake fist***

Nope. We watch front and center and we don't wait forever for that spot either :).

We always watch from Toontown. Also, we take the kids on the Goofy's Barnstormer during the fireworks. There is absolutely no line and you can watch the fireworks from the rollercoaster, then get back in line and go again.

I always wonder why everyone seems to jam into Fantasy Land to watch them. It's much better at Toontown and the people are virtually non-existent!

If you watch from way back there, either Toontown or Fantasyland (can you watch from there?), are there so people around that you can sit on a bench. Because if so, it might be worth it to me to go back there sometime. My feet are always so tired by the end of the day, yet I always have to stand to watch "Wishes" from Main Street. I'd love to be able to sit and watch sometime. Anyone go to Fantasyland or is all of Fantasyland closed off?
