My boyfriend and I finished our first every Disney cruise (which is also our first cruise) today. We did the 3 Night Bahamian on the Dream and it was AMAZING! It was more magical than I ever thought it would be. We're both 25 years old, with no kids, and had the time of our life. Everything was perfect, along with our Server, Wijaya and our Host, Omar. We feed and swam with stingrays, took pictures with all the characters and ate lots and lots of ice cream. I could never imagine myself going on any other cruise line and highly recommend it to everyone!

We are already planning our trip next year, but this time we'll be doing a 4 night. 3 was way too short and a see day would be great to really appreciate the ship. We also had a room with a verandah, which, to us, was worth it!

My boyfriend also really enjoyed the RainForest Room, he loves the different showers, whereas I enjoyed the hot tub overlooking the water.

It was a great experience and I was sad it had to end :(

Welcome back! Glad that you had a great cruise! :goodvibes

So happy to hear that you enjoyed it! We are going on our 1st as well on the Dream in 21 days and the excitement is just too much!! ⚓

We are going on our 1st one in August. Happy to hear that you enjoyed the cruise. Did you get off the ship to go into Nassau or Castaway Cay? Any excursions? I have the stingray exursion booked for Castaway.

We are similar in that we went on our first DCL last year on the Dream and it blew us away, although we are early 30s but still have no kids. What a way to take a getaway about 3 weeks before our 10th anniversary!

I agree that there were things I'd wished I'd have had time for, so we booked a 4 day for cruise #2. It was perfect. I got in Palo brunch, a movie on the bigscreen, walks around the deck, some hottub time, packed up in a relaxed manner before dinner, still had time for the shows and some pre-dinner trivia, etc.

I felt like the 4 day was perfect. I checked all my boxes off, and was ready to run to SeaWorld and ride Manta that day.

I think you could have a great 4 or 5 day cruise without having to book a week, and the sea day is very relaxed.

Disney is such a great cruise line, kids or otherwise! Be prepared for lots of 'but don't you think it's a kids' cruise line?' comments and questions etc. :rotfl:

We had our first disney cruise in Jan (4 night on Dream) and it was magical. We have already booked our next cruise for Oct on the Fantasy. So excited!!

Before I went on the Wonder, we were asked several times about Disney being more of a kids cruise..... I smiled politely and said "But I AM A KID!"

We took our first ever Cruise last year and it was on the Dream. I was the one that really did not want to do a cruise. In fact we had planned on going two years ago but cancelled. I could not imagine that there would be enough to do to keep from getting bored. I like relaxing around the pool but not for days on end. My adult son was the one that talked me into going. We only did three days and and ended up wishing we had booked a longer cruise. It was so much fun that myself, son, and husband went again in September last year and are doing the five day double dip this September. I would love to be able to do two cruises a year, but this will only happen if we win the lottery.

We did get off the ship for both ports. With Nassau we did a beach day at Blue Lagoon. Gorgeous lagoon and the ferry ride was very nice. The water was just gorgeous.

As for CC, we did the extreme getaway package, which included the stingray, snorkel, tubes and an hr bike ride. We only had time for stingray and snorkeling. Both extremely fun and worth it. The stingrays swim around your feet, it was awesome! And off CC early to get lounge chairs under umbrellas! It really helped because CC is so hot and sunny.

I definitely got a lot of those comments, but just ignored them. We are known to be kids at heart. And as for the 4 day, I agree. We felt we could not really enjoy the ship on port days. A sea day would have been nice to just relax and use the rain forest room :)

Next cruise I want to try Palo and possibly Remy. It's only been 2 days but I miss it so much

What exactly is double dip? I heard of back to back cruises...but not sure what that is?

I want to go again with my whole family, but the likelihood of everyone being able to pay for it is pretty slim. We'll just have to squeeze in a separate Disney cruise by ourselves ;)

We will be on a 5 day cruise with one stop at Key West, 2 stops at Castaway (double dipping there), and one stop at Nassau. I was looking far another for next year but did not see any. We love Castaway and the idea of spending two days there sold us on this cruise.

DH & I will be watching closely to see if any *GTs release for both the 5-night double dips in the fall. We're hoping to do both B2B. 4 stops @ CC??? 2 stops at Key West? Yes please! :P

Being new to cruising is there a chance that Disney would release more cruises. Would love to do another double dip. The idea of doing 4 days at Castaway would be so cool. Sweep_pee 1993 hope you get your two double dippers...

It's a cruise with two days at Castaway Cay. This is not very common as most Bahamian and Caribbean cruises only have one day at CC, but when the cruise schedule changes or port planning doesn't work out a second day at CC is added. There are special rates for renting stuff at CC for two days on those specific cruises.
These days can be consecutive or not, but even if they are the Ship will leave in the evening and return in the morning. No overnight stay at CC.

Disney has made itinerary changes in the past but its rare. One should never say never, right? Next summer there's some double dips going on the Dream. We prefer to sail in the "off" times (no summers or holidays when kids are typically out of school).

I hope we get our 2 double-dips, too. Just sounds so dreamy to me. Plus, the final cruise of the 2 would be my big #10. WooHoo! Thanks for the well-wishes. I'll talk all the crossed fingers I can get. :P I'll cross my fingers for you to score a double dip, too!

Ohh two trips to CC would be amazing! I hope you guys get it :)

Reading the forums and watching videos has really helped me plan my trip and made sure I knew what to expect. Yet there was a huge wow factor seeing the ship in person. I freaked out when I got a picture with All the characters. It was like being a little kid again.

Now I need to look into getting annual passes to WDW
