Just changed ressies from WL in December to AKL!

DH, DD (2) and I spent the weekend at the AKL and fell in love with the resort! We only had a standard view, but just the fact that you could look out any window and see animals roaming free was magical. So, after battling the phone lines a couple of weeks ago and receiving a much sought after Christmas reservation at the WL I changed my reservation to AKL savannah view! DD loved all of the animals, the pool and especially the playground! Considering Animal Kingdom is one of our favorite parks it only seems fitting that the AKL should be our favorite resort. The buses were great....always empty and with our new reclining umbrella stroller it only took a second to fold it up and hop onto the bus. We are looking forward to trying Boma and taking advantage of some of the activities at AKL in December!

I'm also very excited about being at AKL. Both DH and I are dying to try WL, but it's going to have to be another trip, when we just have our little girls. SD is with us this trip, and that makes us five, which is too complicated for WL. The resort looks stunning, and I know we'll try it eventually.

AKL is absolutely thrilling to explore though, and I love reading about it.

My DD is muttering something about supper....it's getting late, time to be a Mommy...

Both places are so pretty it'd be hard to decide but it sounds like you'll be so happy at AKL.

That is so funny we just changed from AKL to WL. We love them both but DD (4 1/2)has a hankering to try the WL pool. Who are we to say no - it's all about the magic. Someday I will get to do AKL. We love it at least in the lobby. Boma is great. We have eaten there every trip and have not been disappointed. In fact, last time we were there with the whole family - it was fantastic. They did not have regular chicken fingers for the kids (they had wings) and we didn't say anything but the server noticed us discussing it with our picky eater and she went and cooked some regular ones up for her.

I want to take her to the cookie decorating they have in the pm - I believe it is a 1pm every day and it is free.

I also think they have one of the best hotel gift stores. Have fun!
