Just canceled our October trip. Had a great fun trip recently, despite everything, but until things become more normal in terms of staffing, park entertainment/show options, fastpass options, Typhoon Lagoon being open and hopefully a different Covid situation (meaning less or no mask requirements), plus more, we will hold off on anymore trips.

My thoughts exactly

We're going in a week! We're not "unfazed" by everything for sure, but the CDC just said that vaccinated travelers who have vaccinated people in their inner circle and wear masks when indoors have very little risk of getting sick.

And if you do happen to get sick while vaccinated you should be okay.

exactly! That's what the CDC meant I think. We're renting a car, staying away from the herds at the fireworks/rope drops etc. and mostly hanging out at our resort pools (even rented cabanas for that added level of protection

Definitely. Summer 2020 was the best with the super light crowds (and $25 for Chef Mickey's)! I'll never get that opportunity again other than blind luck or an upcharge event.

You know, having gone to Disney post 9/11, post the crash of 2007 and now during the Covid pandemic, I think I'll be good if we never experience such low crowd levels again. Though, I'd never say never.

I just cancelled all our rooms for Oct 12 to 22, 2021. No one in my family wants to go right now and I don't blame them.
Studio at SSR, Standard studio at BWV and a GRAND VILLA at BWV from Oct 16 to 22.
Hope someone get it. I was going to rent but I don't want to deal with renters if Disney has issues in OCT so I cancelled.

Sorry to hear that and yes, our choice has nothing to do with the re-instating of the mask mandate. My wife has medical issues and her mom is a high-risk for COVID. We are all vaccinated here so that helps. But it is a very hard call. We are thinking about calling MS and maybe a little pixie dust. We are thinking of if there was some availability of going to Hilton Head. I know still people but not 50th anniversary WDW crowds. Lots to think over and not much time to do it.

If you can grab Hilton Head don’t hesitate. We visited the resort for the first time this year, and fell in love. I always swore we would never use points away from the parks and we ended up buying points at Hilton Head we loved it so much. You won’t regret it.

We enjoyed our trip in April. Our next trip is in October, and we are in the same situation. While we are vaccinated, the huge increase in cases in Florida is still worrisome. Haven't decided to cancel yet, but it's on our minds.

That's what we did for our trip last week. It really did help decrease contact with crowds and allow us to feel safe mentally. The cabanas are so worth it too!

You should be ok but be prepared to quarantine for 10 days minimum.

We did! It felt really good to be on vacation in Disney again. If you're doing a cabana in GF, totally recommend Cabana #1! You get a little more space on the side where you don't have a neighbor. We kept saying to each other how we were so glad to book cabana days because it really allowed us to social distance from the pool crowd.

We lucked out on the first day and was assigned that one. I liked it so much that I asked the attendant if I could request the same one for my second day. She said no problem! If you want to, I would just stop by where the cabanas are and talk to the attendant there the day before and see if you could request it.

We are supposed to be there the 18-25th and are strongly considering cancelling. Not because they re-imposed the mask requirement, but because it was needed. I have an autoimmune disease, and if conditions are that bad it's just not safe for me to go. Like you my banking deadline is tomorrow, and this trip was a do-over for our many-cancelled 25th wedding anniversary. It's a tough call.

And we cancelled. My husband was in a car accident, and while he'll be ok, it was the last straw. He wouldn't likely be up for any rides unless he get MUCH better between now and then. Rebooked for the sixth time, lets see if that's the charm, LOL!

Still holding on to my late Oct trip. I think that the main impact of Delta will fizzle out between now and than. While it is true that another variant might appear my hope is that more people will receive vaccines and it will have less impact.

We don´t plan to cancel our Oct 27 - Nov 3 trip; we will lose too many points. We have only one day planned in the parks, so it shouldn´t be too bad with masks.

I have the exact same dates planned!! Pretty sure we’ll still go.
