No, they usually announce the FD promotion in April for early Fall. DV holders have usually been able to make an FD ressie for a few days before the public.

Just got off the phone with a Disney Visa rep, and they knew nothing about any FD offer coming soon. Perhaps they will release it this year w/o giving Visa holders first chance?

If they follow the same pattern as the previous years, it won't be this Thursday. We'd know by now.

Unless they release it early, I would place my bet on April 6, and that date will be for Disney Visa holders, with the general public getting it on April 9.
That would line up with the week it has been released since '06 (pretty sure.)

My second guess would be March 30 for Dis Visa, April 2 for gen. public.
The 7 for 4 promotion ends around Mar 29, I believe, so that would be perfect timing.

So, yes, Thurs usually is the general public deal, but no, probably not this Thursday.

Part of the fun of booking my trip is getting into all the frenzy over when Free Dining will break!

Yes, and yes.

And being flexible about which resort, room views, locations, and standard vs. preferred helps.

But we have always gotten our first choice and all our requests.
(Pop century, standard, connecting, closest to classic hall and parking lot.)

They sometimes release more rooms depending on demand, but, again, they may not be your first choice.

Call right away, and if you want something you don't get on the first try, keep calling back.
