Just called Disney and told MXK was not a general public code

I was told that this code was only specific to certain states and that Mousesavers is notorious for giving wrong information. I saw this code in my Mousesavers email this morning.

I haven't called back yet, just wondering if anyone else has used this code successfully. I can't remember all the states the CM said, Alabama was one....

Well, I found out that the code is on the Disney website! It wouldn't have covered my whole reservation (I have the AAA discount) but I did just call back and found out that there weren't any rooms left at POP to apply the code.

So I guess I missed the boat which in itself is annoying but it's REALLY annoying what I was told the first time I called especially because I knew the guy was "out to lunch" about Mousesavers!

I just called back a third time and finally got the first 5 nights of my reservation switched to the $59. My remaining 3 nights are the AAA discount at $84. on the original reservation. We will be at POP Oct. 6 - 14!

I decided to go onto the Disney website and play around with the dates of my reservation and when I saw I could get a couple of nights at $59 I started adding on dates right up to October 11. I don't know why the second time I called, he couldn't do that. The CM I just spoke to was a really nice lady who was so helpful and very friendly.

I guess 3 times a charm, as they say! Saved $141.50!!!

Now I hope that we can stay in the same room for both reservations but I've done this before with no problem.

shyjade: you can use the MXK code through the Disney website. Just click on Tickets and Reservations, then Special Offers. I think you'd have to call Disney if you have an existing reservation to apply it, that's what I did.

If you already have a reservation, you need to call to see if you can apply the code. And if you have made the reservation with a travel agent, the travel agent has to make the change.

I live in Georgia and used the code to get a discount on the Poly Sept 30-Oct 5. The cast member I talked to was not familiar with the code, but when I told him, we booked my discounted room with no problems. This code is only good for a certain few days of travel, maybe 2 weeks during the first part of October.

I too recieved 2 nights at the Yacht Club with the MXK code
Oct 5-7th, and they were tyrying to talk me into staying more
due to the discount!

I used DGL code, I call back once in a while to check other codes to be certain I am using the best one and the other day they check MXK for me which turned out not to be as good as the one I already have.
If I recall right she told me that MXK was for the States that are closest to Florida and its like and extention of the Florida residence discount for those States that are within easy driving distance.

I cant tell you for sure if DGL has any limits or if its even still available but it might be worth a try to check....
The reservation lady gave me the code while on the phone with her and she kept insisting that I say I got it offine so who knows but it turns out to be a good one!

Used MXK (room only reservation) yesterday for stay 10/4 - 10/11..........saved close to $800.00.
I am from Colorado so I don't think the state matters.

Ok I"m kind of new to all of this and am kinda confused. I have a room-only reservation at CSR from Oct 10-19, and it's already been paid in full. I got the Mousesavers newsletter the other day with the MXK code. Can I use this at all if everything's paid for? And if I can use it, does it cover the entire trip as long as check-in is before the 11th? Or would it only cover the 10th and the 11th?
