Well, after hearing so many great reviews of the WATP tapes - I went out at lunch yesterday & bought a set. Last night after work I completed the 1 mile tape. I enjoyed the tape & felt like I got a workout.

My questions are - how long did most of you wait until you moved on to the 2 mile? Are you supposed to stick with the 1 mile for a period of time before attempting the 2 mile?

In the past I have read that it is best to alternate exercise days - for example: weights Tues, Thurs, Sat and then aerobic activity Mon, Wed, Fri - does everyone follow this? Do you do WATP 2 days in a row?

I'm new to all of this - so any advice anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated!!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Thanks!!! :D

I would think that once the 1 mile tape seems a little easy for you, you could move on to the 2 mile and see how you do. You want to continue to challenge yourself a little.

I do the 4 mile super challenge every other day, and then I use my FIRM tapes on the alternate days, its good to break up the days that you use weights, you don't want to overwork your muscles.

Good luck, I just started using the WATP tapes a couple of months ago after my treadmill broke, and I love them more than my treadmill, they've really helped me lose the last few pounds and my legs have slimmed down more, too!:D

Hi Emily! Welcome to the WATP family - I hope you enjoy these!

I have been doing these tapes for several months now - I don't remember how long I did the 1 mile before graduating to the 2 mile. I think after I did the 1 mile several times w/ the weights without much of a problem. I now alternate b/w the 2 and 3 mile tapes (haven't gotten to the 4miler yet), depending on the time frame I am working w/ and how tired I am.

I usually don't do the tapes in repetative dates during the week - I go to Curves ususally Mon/Thur/Sat and try to do a tape on the other days (and give myself 1 day off a week). I surprised myself 1 day and did the 2 miler 2x in 1 day (hasn't happened again)!!!

One thing I really like about this program is that you can do this with or without the weights (I have the one with the WATP weighted balls), and still get a great workout.

Keep it up!!!

I moved up once I felt the tape was easy. The 3 mile one is a nice workout, and I can't wait to get the 4 mile one.

When I used these consistantly last year I did them about 5 days a week, and I only did WATP's.

This year, so far (well since last week) I have been doing the WATP's each day. I just bought the firm and I plan on using the firm 3 days a week, and fill in the WATP's in between.

I know you aren't supposed to work out the same part of the body using weights every day, but I wouldn't think that the WATP's would hurt you because its aerobic and similiar to walking.

Use your body as a guide for moving to the next tape.

Melanie

I would think that since the WATP (at least 1 mile without weights) tapes are low-impact, you could do them every day if you felt up to them. I just tried the first one last night, and think I'll be adding it to my options now.
