I tried wearing my Teva flip flops and nearly killed myself when I tripped and the front folded over. Bought the Z/1s today and then saw the ZX/1 with the double strap on Zappo and ordered them instead. NOW I am ready to hike it at WDW!

I've had Chacos for at least 5 years. I wear them on our annual camping vacations at a lake. They double as a great water shoe. I'm not sure they were the best option for our Disney trip. While they are super comfortable to wear in the lake, I found the design on the surface of the sole to cause a burning sensation after 10 hours of walking. Maybe if I had worn socks with them I wouldn't have had the discomfort.

I just can't get myself to wear socks with sandals. (Some trauma from my childhood, I'm sure ;)) I ended up wearing my sneakers for most of the trip.

We're planning another trip soon and I'm now agonizing over which shoes to pack.

Hopefully your Chacos will be more comfortable for you. Enjoy your trip.

I heard about them here on the boards. When I went to our local shoe store to get good walking sandals they brought them out. Pricey (90.00) but comfortable.

I heard about them here on the boards. When I went to our local shoe store to get good walking sandals they brought them out. Pricey (90.00) but comfortable. They have a very good arch support and are supposed to be good for people with feet issues (I don't thank goodness). They are recommended by the medical community.

I have an older pair of Z2's and now I have the ZX1's. The new sandals are WAY lighter, although the old ones were very good too.

I have worn them to Disney the last 4 trips and they were great. I did bring runners too, just in case...but I never used them!

I have had the older sandals re-soled and new straps. They are awesome and worth the investment.

I have had a pair of Chacos for nearly 3 years and loved them until recently when they gave me huge blisters, even after already wearing them all summer long! Yesterday after about 1-1/2 a miles I had 4 huge blisters on my feet - ahhh - and had to walk the whole way home in them - needless to say they probably won't be making the trip to WDW. I'll stick to my Keens. I am thinking about sending them into Chaco and having them re-strapped.
