Hey all, we are DVC members for 3 years now we own at AKV-Kidani and we recently just bought a bunch of points at BWV. I am SOOO excited to use these points. We have been wanting to stay at the BW for a while but can never seem to get a ressie 7 months out (not sure why-maybe time of year or whatever)..

Just wanted to share my excitment

Anyone stay at BWV and have something I should know? where to request or anything like that?

thanks

me, DH, DS7, DS3

We have loved every single BWV trip and there have been many of them. Hope that your BWV points bring you as much joy as ours have.

Thanks, i am so psyched. We actually have more points at bwv now than we do at akl

Congrats! BWV is our favorite resort....and our home resort!
We have always requested to be on one of the top floors (4th or 5th) and a BW view. Can't beat that view! Enjoy!

congrats!
BW view is amazing:cloud9:, yet pool/garden view cost the same amount of points. standard view cost less points, and a great option for conserving ponits (personally, we only book BW view now - it's worth every single point  waking up to a view you cannot get anywhere else in the world, watching the day break over the lake, watching the fireworks from illuminations as you sip wine on your balcony......words can't possibly describe that intense feeling of awe and happiness). just remember that standard and BW views go quickly and should be reserved at or close to 11 months: they each make up only about 20% of the resort. we prefer higher floors for a better view of illuminations, but last trip found the 2nd/lowest floor to have a HUGE balcony. it was also more convenient to use the stairwells .(the villas have only 1 bank of elevators, and some room can be rather far from them. we find the hallways peaceful and wonderful to walk through with multiple couches and chairs for relaxing, but some people find the approx 5 minute walk too long).
community hall is great! located by the quiet pool, there are lots of activities including kids' crafts, ping-pong, video games, books, bike rentals, and free dvd rentals. a barbeque is nearby, also (bring your own charcoal). the main pool, luna park, has the keister coaster, a slide that twists until you come out of the clown's mouth .(we prefer luna park to the wall-to-wall people at the BCV/YC/BC pool - SAB).
nice places for reading or people watching are plentiful.: in the lobby itself, on the back balcony (with lots of cushioned wicker chairs), the little used nook under the balcony, on the BW itself, etc.....
belle vue lounge is a nice place for a quiet drink, and to hang out and meet people.
the bakery has some very tasty goodies, but does get insanely crowded every morning (a testament to how good it is, imho). flying fish and BRG are two of our favorite restaurants anywhere in WDW.
the walks to epcot and DHS are beautiful!! or you can ride a friendship.
there are street peformers nightly on the BW, as well as hairbraiding, carny games, etc. jellyrolls is right there also, for those over 21yo.
one of our favorite things about the BWVs is that one can have a quiet, relaxed time, and/or exciting, do/go time.....it's all up to you as there is so much offered right at your fingertips, but not "in your face".
after staying at almost all the mods, deluxes, and DVCs, we've found the perfect resort in the BWVs :cloud9:

Awesome, thank you so much for your help, this is a ton of really helpful info. I plan on booking at 11 months since i now have home resort priority and will def try for a bw view.. I am super excited, can't wait to book my first trip there.

Congratulations &Welcome Home, BWV neighbors!:banana::banana::banana:

I'm so happy to book the standard view for a great stay for New Years Eve! BW's lobby is beautiful, there's a party on the Village Green, and you're so close to EPCOT!

Bobbi:goodvibes

Boardwalk standard view are some of the best point values in DVC. Close to 2 parks, entertainment, restaurants, boat rentals (Yacht Club), bike rentals and just a great bakery and pizza counter.

And, because of the preferred view booking category you can get the SV category for less points than most other resorts.

We love Boardwalk. Of course, we also love out point premium BLT...
