Just bought more points!!!!

We are so excited!

We've been owners at OKW since 2000 with 150 points. As we get older, we have become less forgiving in our random vacation destinations - meaning, we want nice, deluxe accomodations every year!!!!

So we just bought 100 more points, resale, at OKW - now we can do our 1 bedroom (sometimes even 2) at OKW one year, 1 bedroom at Vero the next and so on!!!

So happy!!!!!!

Congrats!!! We would like to add-on once our current contract is paid off.

The other issue we have is as our DD6 gets older, and it is more difficult to pull her out of school, how will our travel plans change. As much as I love Disney, I am not a fan of crowds. We have always been able to travel during non-peak times. I will not go during Easter, Thanksgiving or Summer break for that matter (I live in NY - so we get so little summer, I dont want to spend a week of it in Florida).

But - once we can figure out a plan, I would not mind upping our points a bit. I am thinking it would be good for some solo trips, or golf trips with a few buddies. That will always work for me

And the same for my wife, the extra points would allow us to go on trips with friends or family while the other stays home. I am sure if we do that - our daughter will make us pay!

Wow, that's a lot of years of not traveling to WDW during school breaks or summer. And I sure wouldn't want to tell the kiddo that you went to WDW without her.

One thing we have noticed is that spring break isn't really too bad except right around Easter. The three days before Easter and the week after gets really crowded. The weather is still cooler and the crowds aren't out of sight. The bad news is the points per night are really higher, but not as bad as Easter or Christmas. Good luck.

I totally get it - we just added on 100 AKV points a few weeks ago.

Even though it will be awhile before we add-on again, I am addicted to the resale websites. Some people find the resale process to be stressful, but honestly I find it to be quite fun. Congratulations

Congratulations! We are SO right there with you at Vero and OKW! Just added on another 50 at OKW ourselves. Might be a while before we can do more, but I'm fairly certain the time will come. Just can't get enough of those points!

Congratulations. It is very exciting. We started out at Old Key West in 1997 with 400 points and in 2002 added 400 points at SSR. We now have 800 points so we can even do cruises every year if we desire. DVC is great !!

Congratulations! We also just added on 130 SSR points, actually still waiting for final closing and to be added to the DVC system. Hope its not too contagious because this can get expensive.

Congratulations. I also know the feeling.We nowhave four contracts. We became members in 1995 at OKW and have added points four times and looking for more. We gave two of our children honeymoons at DW. Have spent many vacations over the years with family and friends and have many happy memories for it. In six days DW and I will sail away on the DVC member cruise and follow it with a stay at BCV for our 40th wedding anniversary. Can you ask for anything better than that.
