I know when I link them to my Disney Experience they will work, but we have not activated them at the park yet. When we activate our APs, will they automatically be able to be used right way, or will the CM need to do something there? We were going to wait for our AP MBs, which we'll still get, but hubby wanted the Boba Fett and I wanted the Princess Leia so we got the special edition ones first.

Once you arrive at WDW, stop at any Guest Relations Location or Park Ticket Window. The CM will activate your passes and issue a passholder card (needed for discounts). If the CM doesn't automatically issue the passholder card, ask for them. Your passes will be valid for park entry as soon as you walk away from the window.

AND...

Double-check the DATE on your AP (listed in MDE) right after the CM activates it.
Make sure that it is the date of the day that you activated the AP, not the date that you bought the AP.

Better yet, ask the CM doing the activation to make sure that "today's date" (the date you are activating) is the date applied to the AP.

It is a very common CM mistake to input the wrong date when activating an AP.
It must be done manually, and too often the CM can make an input error.
