Just Bought AKV Today!!

I just bought AKV today. I just got off the phone with Kim my DVC guide and took the plunge. After coming back from our 8 days at Wildness Lodge at Disney and been lurking on the forums for the past 30 days, learning what I can. I went for it. I was told SSV was sold out as of today. I have a 2/09 UY,
160 matching points, No annual payments until new AKV opens. Paid 96.00 a point. Waiting now for the package to arrive with the paperwork. Been going to Disney since 1980. Hope I made the right choice.

Congrats We just bought AKV on Monday and got our paperwork notarized today so it will go back this coming Monday. No regrets so far and that's a big deal for me because I have a big problem with buyers remorse after I've made a big purchase. Do you have a disney visa if so you can get 500 dream rewards with your purchase as well as your other incentives if you bought at least 160 points.

Welcome Home! AKV is a beautiful resort. If you visit Disney regularly, you probably made the right choice. We purchased our DVC in 2002 and have not had one regret. Enjoy planning your vacations!

we just bought AK in the last few weeks. paperwork goes back monday. what did you have to put on the disney visa to get the dream rewards? - the downpayment or the entire purchase? How did you find out about it - through DVC or disney visa? we put our downpayment on it and haven't heard anything about it and hate to leave anything on the table ....

Definately give your guide a call, the offer wasn't actually available yet when we purchased Monday but my guide said he knew about another offer coming and would make sure we got in on it although he couldn't tell me what it was at the time . He did give me a call Thursday to verify that he had applied it to my Visa rewards .

This is soooo true!!! I have planned out how I will use my points from now until 2013 and this is when I will have to add on. So I've got enough points through banking each years left overs to last until 2013 at which point I will not have enough to to accomodate our normal length of stay and will have to buy more, LOL!! So I've only been an owner for a week and am already preparing the savings for my add on
