Just booked!

Myself and my girlfriend arrived back from Florida on Sunday, absolutely shattered and glad to be home for a rest. Only had the chance to visit Downtown Disney once, rest of the time was spent at Universal. Didn't think we'd be back to Florida for some time.

That was until I had a quick glance at the Thomas Cook website yesterday whilst planning a trip to Tenerife.

Nipped into the travel agent today to check the price was correct and it was. Trip to Tenerife cancelled, trip to WDW All Star Music Resort booked instead!

Brochure price was £928. Booking price was £554.

The travel agent said she'd never seen a package holiday to Florida so cheap, nevermind a package to a WDW resort.

For anyone interest have a look at 13th May onwards. Superb prices on there. Granted it's in economy with only 15kg luggage but at nearly half the brochure price I'm not complaining. Just need to get Disney tickets now and we're all set.

I reckon this one will be less stressful than the last. So much planning involved when you are on I-Drive and have tickets for here, there and everywhere.

Disney hotel, tickets for Disney = less stress for me.

It's not just the Disney resorts that are cheap, seems a few on I-Drive are too during that week. Price changes massively if you go the week before or week after. It's strange.

Week after is pretty much half term so that would explain that!
Great price tho, especially for such a long trip!
Sometimes I wish I had a job that allowed me to travel outside school holidays

Rather than start a new topic, I might aswell ask a couple of questions here.

1) Hotel is booked with Thomas Cook and I'll be getting the theme park admissions elsewhere. I've been skim reading some stuff about the key to the world and as I understand it, it's basically a card that combines everything. Is this possible if everything is purchased seperately?
Or am I completely missing the point?

2) If the theme park tickets are in voucher form like the Universal tickets, can this be redeemed at the hotel or do you have to visit a park to redeem the tickets?

3) I've never charged anything to a hotel room, ever. But I've just read that you can purchase things in the theme park shops and charge it to your room with the card. Is this still possible if I've booked through Thomas Cook and the room is paid up?

I've only just read about this, but if it all rings true then what a superb idea this is. I've never even heard of anything like this before. Just slightly worried that come the end of the week there will be hundreds of $$$ worth of pins charged.

they will add your tickets to your room key when you check in this is the jey to the world card and you basically only need this onsite as you can charge anything back to your room with it

you can charge to your room if you leave a credit card or we leave a cash amount so we can charge to our room
