We are going to Disney (BWV) in May 2014 but wanted to do something this summer too so we decided to take the kids to SeaWorld. We will be staying at the Hilton Grand Vacation SeaWorld and I purchased the Free dining tickets for SeaWorld and Aquatica. The kids are 5 and 2 , we never went to a water park or to SeaWorld with them, will there be enough or more that 2 visits? Any recommendations where to eat? And what do I need to bring to the water park (shoes, towels, cover up?) We need shade, will I be able to get that without renting a Cabana?

Are Sea World and Aquatica the only parks you will be going to? I would say that you could do everything you wanted to do at SW in one day, but your children are younger, so you can take two days to slowly experience it all.

I have personally never been to Aquatica, but I would think you would only need one day to do everything at Aquatica.

About food recommendations, I don't remember the name of the place, but it was a smokehouse in the waterfront village area, we have eaten there every time, and it is good. There are a couple of table service restaurants as well that you may enjoy.

In the summer and with little kids I think Seaworld can easily stretch over two days. You probably want to take a break for naps/pool so really can't tour all day.

As far as Aquatica is concerned, you can experience everything in a day (or given the age of your kids in far less time). However, Aquatica is fun (and has a great kids area) so you could go there several times and just enjoy it.

I would say it depends on what kind of vacation you are looking for. You can easily do both parks in two days but you could also spend four or five days enjoying them.

Yes you will find shade at Aquatica if you are there near the 9:00 opening. There are a ton of lounge chairs that are under umbrellas. You may want to get a locker upon arrival if you don't want to worry about leaving your valuables at the chairs. We took water shoes; never used them. Yes, towels to reserve your chairs. Life vests in all sizes are plenty. You will want one for Roas's Rapids, too, to relax and float along. There are so many areas your family will enjoy together.

With DS6 and DD12 we just spent 2 days at SW. In the heat, you won't want to do full days, and one evening you may want to do the evening shows. We bought a large refillable cup ($12.99 size) and shared it. $.99 refills at SW and Aquatica for this trip and future trips! (You can buy the cups either place.) Really a bargain for as much as you need to drink in the summer.

You will have a great time at these relaxing, manageable parks!

Thanks everybody :) . We plan on doing a LEGOLAND day with waterpark too and we will go out to Kennedy Space Center. I want an afternoon at DTD too :)

In may you can do SW in 1 day. The park closes early and there are only a few shows. We took our homeschool group there for a field trip one day and did it all. A great place for the kids to cool off is shamu harbor. Has kiddie rides and a fountain play area. My kids love it.

Food depends on what you like.
Voyagers is the smokehouse with BBQ
Sea fire inn has a wide variety really.
Spicemill has burgers
Terrace buffet is a pizza buffet with pasta not a wide variety
Mango joes has burritoes and some wraps and chicken strips
Seaport pizza is pizza only but if you have all day dining its a nice spot to grab a snack and drink. It looks like a trailer and you just walk through grab your food and sit in the patio area.

Sharks is a sit down restaurant if you have been to corral reef at disney then its like that. Not included in all day dining
Another out of pocket is dine with shamu which is a buffet inside shamu stadium area and while you eat the trainers talk about the whales.
