Just booked the Poly!!

I've just gone and booked our holiday for next year!!!

Going for 3 weeks in July.

Flying Virgin from Manchester to Orlando.

6 nights at the Renaissance Hotel SeaWorld (paid for with my Avios) - looking to do the dolphin swim at Discovery Cove, couple of days at SeaWorld, Aquatica and Gatorland

4 nights at Universal Royal Pacific Resort (still need to book that one yet though - the Complete Orlando site is throwing a bit of a wobbler)

and

11 nights at the Polynesian Resort with free DDP!!!!

Yep, we decided to bite the bullet and splash out on the Poly to make it a special holiday.

There are some good cashback deals through Quidco at the moment - 4% back on Disney, which only made them about £40 more than Complete Orlando (so I went with them for piece of mind - the little extras like free golf might even come in handy). There is also 3% cashback on Virgin flights at the moment too.

I was tempted to push the boat out further for a club room at the Poly, but couldn't bring myself to spend another £1200 for that. But does anybody know if they do a good deal anytime for upgrading at check-in? I might ask when we arrive, and see what happens.

Thank god that is all over now - I seemed to spend all day at work trying to figure out all the best options for prices, flights etc. I can get some work done now - just in time for me to start my new job!


Now starts the meal planning, touring plans.......


p.s. Somebody posed this question today : If Pinocchio said "My nose will grow right now", what would happen????

Just like to thank Wayne for all his tips - they have been invaluable.

And especially about using Quidco - I had never heard of them until you kept plugging them, and now I am using them all the time.

that sounds amazing, I was lucky enough to stay at the Poly for a week years ago and it's worth every expensive penny I promise, paradise within wdw!

Just tried again on Complete Orlando this morning, and RPR still wasn't working, so I booked a Hard Rock Hotel Club Room instead.

A bit more expensive, but we like being as close to the parks as we can, so it scores on that front, and the pool is better.
