:cheer2: Whoo hoo!!! I've never stayed there before, so I'm hoping for a great experience! I realllly hope the beds are comfy! We wanted to stay at the Swan for their heavenly beds, but they were booked.

Also, can we request a certain longhouse? When do we do that? The cast member I talked to said at check in? Is this right???

I got a garden view - really wanted conceirge, but they had no availability. I'll keep checking back though!

:thumbsup2 If you get a refurbed room, those beds are so comfy! We have a sleep number and love it, but these beds are so nice, and we are hard to please when it comes to a bed. Have Fun!

Hi! I would call back and make your longhouse requests as soon as you know where you would like to stay. It is my understanding that they assign rooms about a week before guest arrivals. Anyone else have any knowledge of room assignment procedure? I'm afraid if you waited until check-in you would have less of a chance of getting what you want.

We stayed at Poly GV in Dec. and LOVED it! We requested Fiji, 3rd floor, Marina view and got exactly what we requested! I had put in the request about a month before we arrived. I would definitely request a refurbished room - check out tikiman's website for amazingly comprehensive info about this beautiful resort! http://tikiman2001.homestead.com/

    Have fun!

We have never stayed at the Poly but have gone to the luau and hung out on the shores to watch the fireworks on New Years eve. It was awesome. Very relaxing, great pool, good bar and you will love it. Take care enjoy, Tammy

You'll love it! You can put your requests in to CRO. When you do check in the CM is usually nice enough to tell you what is available. I always request a certain building. When I check in I have even been allowed to chose the actual room number. We are going to the Poly June 19th to July 1st and again for 10 days in December. It is our favorite resort!

We're staying at the Poly 12/6-12/11. When I made the reservation, I told the CM which longhouse we'd like to stay in and she noted in on the reservation. I hope we do get it.

I would go ahead and request which longhouse you want. It doesn't mean you'll get it, but it doesn't hurt to request it. I've gotten the longhouse I requested both times we've stayed there, but not necessarily the floor I requested.

I do think the check-in CM's allot rooms by priority of who's checking in versus those who have made a request but haven't arrived yet. Among people who have not yet checked in, putting a request for a longhouse, floor, etc. should be ahead of others who make no such requests, assuming the same check-in time. But if there's, say, only one room left of the type you want, and someone gets there before you and checks in, I think the CM will give it to that person, rather than keeping it from that person based on a request from someone who has not shown up yet.

Usually, this seems to result in at least getting the longhouse building you want if you show up for check in at a decent hour, but it may not result in the floor you want or the exact view. Personally, I've never been disappointed in the Poly, except for that pesky check-out date that they enforce so stringently. ;)
