just booked for 2 adults, Pop Century, 9/17-9/23, deluxe dining plan, will cost only an additional $192 per person, this way, everything but tip is included and worth the extra cost. Should not have to pay OOP for food @ all......We don't gorge, even at a buffet, I don't fill up, just eat small amts of different things, still worth it. I hate being really full on vacation!

You have some great places on your list! I hope that there will be a room available at Pop for your dates under the promotion. It is not always "easy" to switch the ressie to contain the free dining but I hope that it works out for you. I am sure that your TA will be calling at opening to snag what you need.

I just got off the phone with a WDW CS on an unrelated item and happend to mention that I would be calling back once the FREE DP promo wa sannounced. She said that it shouldn't be any problem to adjust my ressie. I am at POR, 8/23 to 9/1, 2 adults, 2 children, 4 day park pass

Actually, there is no adjusting/changing anything. If free dining is offered, you have to rebook completely. To take advantage, your original reservation will have to be canceled.

That is correct...This is what I have had to do my last 2 trips during free dining...I was sad that though I had CSR booked for my entire trip last August , it wasn't available there and I had to switch to POR...So OP you need to be aware that you may need to be flexible.

I know we won't get free dining this time...It is looking like the dates will likely be a week after we ge there.

Does anyone know what happens if you already have your reservations and ADRs and then you need to rebook under free dining? Will they carry over your ADRs to the new reservation number? or do you have to start over with all new ADRs?

Your adrs will stay unless you call to make changes to them. You can call to give them your new ressie #, but I think they normally look up the ressies by the conf. # or the phone # you gave them when you called. We had free dining last year & I had everything booked, ressies made before the dining option came out. All my TA did was rebook for the same dates @ the same hotel. Good Luck!

Oh good. I was worried that the ADRs would be lost and I had my countdown going for several months, before my 7am call. My daughters "had to eat in the castle". We are a party of 8 (including my family plus my sisternlaw and nephew). No one seems to appreciate my planning, but I know where I wanted to eat and knew what it could take to get out ADRs for each...plus we are on DxDDP and I wanted to get my money's worth! (I am assuming they will allow us to upgrade if the free DDP is released for our dates) It would save us quite a bit of $$ as there are 5 of us plus an infant...I keep talking about it to the family, but they are getting a bit tired of hearing about it day in and day out. I am happy to have all of the people on these pages to share my excitement with! I just need someone to ask me about my ADRs as I am happy to share! I was on the phone for over an hour making all of them last weekend!
