Thanks so much to everyone who answered all my questions!

I called Universal's 800# and booked through a rep. A deposit is not due for 5 days, then it is $50 per person. Final payment is due 45 days before our trip. We can cancel and get a full refund w/in 6 days of our trip. I asked for a room with a view of a park or pool, not of the highway. I also requested a non smoking room.

I asked about the shuttle to Sea World. She said it ran once in the am (didn't give the time) and once in the pm (around 3pm). She said it's only 5 miles & it's easy to grab a cab back if the shuttle time doesn't work. I had kind of figured on taking a cab back anyhow.

I ended up booking with a AAA rate, and not the one with the free park tickets. It came out to be $138 cheaper for the exact same package.

Can't wait till August!

I've never booked a AAA room through AAA, always through the actual hotel/resort. Some sites have the AAA rate right on their web sites. In the booking section, there's often a field for special rates/codes and AAA is among them in many cases.

AAA rate is available thru all the loews hotel, and the universal site as well.

kimberle, I did the same thing for us and then bought the tix on their website and got the 5 day tix for all of us for $400. We saved quite a bit too doing it that way. My AAA had me book it myself and then I turned it over to her afterwards because she couldn't get as good of a rate for some reason.

Hey lindalinda, we'll be neighbors. Our dates are June 14-18! Staying club level also. Really looking forward to it. Stayed 2 years ago at PBH with a club level upgrade. Maybe we can say howdy to each other. We'll figure a way to say recognize each other if ya want. We are a family of 4 with 2 DD's

My DD's 13 & 10 have been warned about those types of creatures. I just tell them that boys are bad news and they say "yes Dad we know", but for some reason they get this nervous twitch that looks like and I wonder are they really listening to me.

You tell those boys, I'll be watching them, I'll be the one who is 6'8" and 295, (I lost a little weight getting ready for Mr. Universe) I hope my temper is better by then, I've been a little moody lately. I won't really hurt them or anything, "honest George I just want to pet them. "
