Soooo excited! After booking the Eurostar last week I have now booked our hotel as well :cool1: We're staying in a Montana room at SL for 3 nights from 29 Nov-2 Dec! I decided I couldn't bring myself to wait on the offchance that a better deal comes along.. we've booked the 1 day & night free deal, and DD2 goes free anyway. If anything better comes along I'll try and add a sneaky character meal to our package or something ;)

So that brings me on to even more questions than usual! It's DD2's 6th birthday on Dec 23rd, and although our trip will be 3 weeks before her birthday, it is intended to be partly her birthday treat instead of a party with friends. I asked on here months ago and was convinced that it's not at all weird to have a birthday cake for her at Cafe Mickey, so we'll definitely do that. But what other lovely treats could I plan her? I'd love to do the Princess Makeover for her and her sister, but I don't think they're open in Nov/Dec. We went to Auberge last time and while we had a lovely time, she's adamant that she doesn't want to go "to the place with the orange soup with cream on it" again, that seems to have really put her off - bless! Would it be really weird to get her a birthday sticker from Town Hall, even though the actual day will be just over 3 weeks away? And does anyone have a list of things I could pay for to have put in the room? I think a little soft toy or a helium balloon would go down very well :)

Thank you! So excited about seeing Dreams and all the 20th anniversary stuff!:banana:

Congratulations on your booking :goodvibes

It was my dd's birthday when we went last month. I emailed the hotel a few days before to mention that this was a birthday visit and 'hoped' that we'd get a nice room :rolleyes1 I didn't ask for anything specifically, but we did get some nice extras in the room, goofy soft toy, tea/coffee maker, complimentary water, extra toiletries, bathrobes and slippers etc. Nothing major to be honest, but some nice extras.

We also went to City Hall for a birthday sticker, which they gave without question, so no need to say it's not her actual birthday on the day. Unfortunately my dd didn't want to wear hers, so I don't know what effect it would have had.

As of paying for extras, I've heard that this can be very, very expensive. Are you able to put together a small package of things you know she'll like and try and pop it in the room before she goes in? Or you could maybe get her a new Disney purse with some euros, and tell her she has to use this exclusively in dlp?

I can't help with the princess makeover, but I'm sure there's a thread on here somewhere about it.

Happy planning :goodvibes

We went for my dd's 6th Birthday, the hotel put together some balloon bouquets. It was her actual birthday mid trip so I'd wrapped and packed a few presents to take with us, I think Tangled dolls and a couple of DS games, I packed some balloons, banners, celloptape etc and when she crashed out of a night time I decorated the room ready for morning :goodvibes

The dlp birthday badge is a sticker and to tell the truth it just fell off the whole time, if you want take your own proper badge.

Thank you all :) If the in-room gifts are extortionate I won't bother, I'm sure I can plan nice things without needing to take out a second mortgage :)
