And now I am filled with questions!

First I got one of those $109 Deluxe post cards and was offered $209/night for a GV room. Is this a good rate. It was the cheapest of the 3 monorail options.

Second- any suggestions as to which Long House to request? We want to be pretty close to the GCH and the volcano pool.

I had already planned on taking DH to Ohana's for dinner. How is the breakfast's there. We are not big on sweet stuff and I know that is the highlight of Kona Cafe- how are their other offerings?

I am so excited as I have never stayed at a Deluxe and DH agreed to stay an extra night at WDW so instead of just 2 nights at the Poly I get 3 before finishing the trip solo at the Courtyard Mariott in DTD.

First of all, that's a great rate.

I would request Samoa, the closest to pool and GCH, Rarotonga, Niue, and Aorteroa even though that one is far from the pool, I LOVE the monorail views.

I have never been to Ohana's for breakfast but the Kona's other offerings are still very good.

Hope this helped.:D

eeyorefanatic - congrats on booking the Polynesian.

For all your Polynesian Resort information needs, look no farther than Tikiman's Website. 'Ohana - which means family - hosts a character breakfast every morning.

You are going to love the Poly. We were there 1st time in February. I loved every minute of our stay.

Last I knew Samoa was a smoking building. If smoke bothers you I would stay clear of this building.

There are several building that are close to the pools and GCH. We stayed in Rarotonga with a quite pool view. There are 2 main doors to this building one leads out to the GCH with a short walk to the Volcano Pool and quite pool. The other door leads to the launry, arcade and neverland land club. This building is right in the middle of everything. A smaller building right next to Rarotonga is Niue. I think this may be my choice next time I stay. I loved this location.

The only time we did any walking was to go to the TTC. You can take the buses directly form the Poly to AK and MGM you don't need to walk to the TTC.

We loved the motorboat launch to the MK. We also loved renting the watermice boats.

You will love the Polynesian! And breakfast is awesome at O'Hana. I think the only sweet item they serve is the Pineapple Bread, and the rest is bacon, sausage, eggs, potatoes, standard breakfast fare. We always stay in the Tuvalu House, it's a short walk from the Great Ceremonial House, just on the other side of the mouseboats, and we like the 2nd floor facing the lagoon. It's a perfect view of the water pageant and fireworks over the castle at night, and you're RIGHT ON the water, like just a few feet away from your balcony. Enjoy!

You got a good rate. The lowest I've gotten at the Poly was $189 and $199 in October and May. We love it there and it is now our favorite resort. We are going back in October and hoping for another great deal. I always request and get Raratonga, 3rd floor, monorail view. There are balconies on the 3rd floor of that building and it is right next to the GCH. Nuie is right next door but they do not have balconies if that is a want. Have a great trip!

First of all congratulations on the great rate. I was wondering what dates your post card covered. We are going to WDW 12/13/03 to 12/20/03. I have not received a post card, but keep hoping! Thanks and enjoy the Poly. :)
