Well, I finally did it! :cheer2: Went ahead and booked a Grand Gathering for 6/29-7/7 at ASMo!!!! :Pinkbounc :bounce: We were debating between POFQ and ASMo, but settled on the value resort for the theming (3 preschoolers, 4 school age kids) and the price.

Used the AAA rate and got each room for $759 for the 8 nights. Room only ressies.

I want to ask those of you who have booked as a Grand Gathering, what perks are available? The person I spoke to at Disney said if I had any special requests to just let her know. What kind of requests??? My only request was that 3 of our rooms had to be right next to each other, with one of them adjoining since children from 2 families would be staying in the middle room. She said that would be no problem.

Also, 2 more families may be adding on to our Gathering. I say the more the merrier!!!

Um, now how do I go about getting a ticker for my sig line???LOL!!!

We did a GG in Feb. There were over 30 people in our group. We stayed at the WL and VWL. They did a very good job of keeping our rooms very close together. There were unfortunately a few people not in our group that were mixed in with our rooms. It didn't bother us, but you could tell the father of the family didn't appreciate our "gathering" anywhere around his room.We had 12 kids under the age of 9. The rooms are not very sound proof and you can hear every door slam shut (not just our's but everyone down the hall as well). We did the Magical Fireworks Voyage and the Safari Dinner both were great. Everyone's favorite was the Fireworks Voyage. We will hopefully be doing it again on our Dec trip. They haven't released the schedule yet. We may also try the Illuminations Dinner. We still had to do all our own dinning reservations. Each restraunt is different depending on how many people are in your group. Some of the restraunts we had to go through group dinning and some we were able to just book through the regular dinning. I totally agree with "the more, the merrier!"

try www.daisypath.com that's where I got mine and it was easy to use.
You lucky dog! :cool1: I have been trying to get a GG together for 2 yrs now. I had it all set last year and then the hurricaines came and scared most of our party away the day before we left. :( I am trying again for next year. On my list of must do's for grand gathering were the Fireworks cruise and Sunrise Safari. I also planned a Charector Breakfast at Chef Mickey's and Dinner at CRT as a suprise, but of course the plans fell through. DF, my cousin, her hubbie, and I still made Chef Mickey's and it was great.
