Just Booked our August Trip Home to BWV!!!

We debated about going back this year to the world for our August family vacation. We have been to the World the last 2 summers in August for our family trip and we thought we should do something different. We though about the beach, maybe a staycation, but WDW won out again. We used all our 2011 points that we get in June, borrowed all our 2012 pts and bought 7 points to make our split stay at BCV and AKV possible.

I figure lets use the points while the kids are young and we can enjoy it too. In 48 years when we run out of points a year or two early, will I really care???

This will be our 1st stay at BCV, and was specifically requested by my kids. We ate at Beaches & Cremes, and they fell in love with the pool. I am not a huge fan of split stays but it was pretty easy last summer between Jambo and Kindani. We would have loved to stay the whole trip at BCV, but not enough points to do it.

I look forward to all the planning, and another steamy visit to the World!!!

We will be at WDW in August too! The first two nights will be at BWV and the last 3 nights at BLT.

I am looking forward to trying a BW view room to see if maybe that will be my next add on in a few years!

Sandisw, the BW view is what prompted a 50-point add-on in 2006. I bought enough points to book a standard view room at BWV, thinking I'd be happy with that, but after booking a somewhat last-minute trip, all I could get was BW view. I fell in love with it, and added on more points so that I could have that view.

My DH amd I have stayed at BWV, and loved it! When we do an add on it will be at BWV, and it will be enough to do the boardwalk view. Then when they finally put DVC at the Poly, we will add on there!!!

We will be in a THV in August - can't wait to try one! Lots of people posting that they're going in August.....maybe it's not too early to start a "Who's going in August" thread!?

I'm in the same boat, my contract ends in 2042 but I'll be out of points in 2040, and at 79 I won't care!

It's darn hot and steamy but still a lot of fun, we frequent the water parks a lot in August. We're going in June!

We are heading back to our beloved BWV this August as well. This will be our 9th August in a row!!!! Heat is not bad if you go in the AM. I can't wait to start planning dinners!!!!
