just booked!! only 23 weeks to wait!

very excited, just booked for us to stay at the cheyenne during feb half term. now i've just got to try to keep it a secret since it is going to be a birthday present for my daughter - who's birthday is 2 weeks after we go! i know it won't be her birthday while we're there but i know she would love to have it as a birthday trip. now i just need to find out all the special birthday things i can do for her. i'm told i can get her a birthday sticker/badge to wear from city hall? also that she can get a happy birthday call from mickey mouse at city hall? i know i can get a birthday cake for her at cafe mickey as well for £15? anything else i can do - the cheaper the better as this is supposed to be a cheap trip as it's not our main holiday for next year!

also, i seem to remember reading trip reports where people were given plushes in their room as a birthday present from the hotel. i know this is a real outside chance of happening - but if it did happen to you, was it actually on your birthday? what i'm just wondering is, is there any chance of this happening for my daughter - she loves her plushies!!

To be honest, there have been a lot of disappointed people not getting anything special for their birthdays (on every forum I have visited to be honest lol) as they will ask you if it's for a special occasion, then try and recommend balloons etc, for a hefty price!

There is a chance of the booking agent adding the "Disney touch" to your hotel booking however, I know as we had major problems recently and their way of saying sorry was to add this and also a charactor breakfast into our package for free. I think the norm is that is something goes wrong with your booking before hand, they tend to try and compensate to make sure your holiday stays in the Disney spirit. As something went wrong on the last holiday, they also took this into considration which promted them to add these special things for us. It's also one of our parties 11th birthday while we are out there and we've added a cake (which we have to pay for out there), but they didn't offer us anything until we started getting payment problems etc!

Speak calmly (or jump around the room like we usually do when we are booking ) and tell them how excited you are about your trip and your daughters birthday and maybe you'll get a nice CM booking your trip
