Hi all,

Not new to Disney, but I never did the dining plan. I just booked my trip for August and got the plan. Is it hard to keep track of.

Should I make all my priority seating reservations before I go? I'll be going for 10 nights. I was thinking about making 10 reservations for the restaurants I want to go to.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Look through the restaurants you think you might like to eat at. Match that with a preliminary plan of touring the parks. If you plan on being at a certain park with a restaurant you want to try, by all means, make you ADR.

Tens days is a lot, so look around and see what you really might like. Read a lot here and see what others are saying.

Finally, don't second guess yourself to death. Most restaurants there are very good and you will enjoy many of them.

i did the DDP for 6 nights (of a 11 day stay ~ ate OOP for the last days) last year.
lessons learned (which i'm applying to this years 10 day stay):
it REALLY is a lot of food, & having ADRs every night can become too "structured"
make one or 2 signature ressies (using 2 TS each).
and/or use a credit for a b'fast.

also make your ADRs early (we saw many ppl without ADRs turned away from restaurants), check wdwig.com for menus.

personally, we love the DDP ~ great savings & variety! :thumbsup2

You have had good advice already. :thumbsup2
I would want ADRs, esp with the hot weather which can cause people to get kind of cranky at times. (Me included. :rotfl2: )
The DDP is very popular and the restaurants (esp popular ones) can be hard be seated at whim.

If you are going to want a TS daily, make an ADR for it. If you dont care what restaurant is taking walk- ins (or if there just isnt any at all) :confused3 than skip the ADR. This will be my first time on DDP too, and I am excited. :woohoo: Usually on trips to WDW, we only treated ourselves to 1TS breakfast, and 1 lunch or dinner. :guilty: All the rest was CS or Friendly's

You will be there during the free dining period (August 5th-Sept 29th). We've been down there during that time for the last two years. Park attendance was low, but TS restaraunts were packed and almost all were turning people away. Granted, thus far the free dining has only been offered through the UK program and the Bounce Back Program, but if it's opened up to the general public again we can expect the restaraunts to again be turning people away. We'll be there the end of Sept-early Oct and will definitely be making ADRs at the 180+10 mark.

We're going in August with 14 days free dining. :cool1: I am booking all my ADR's as soon as I can, although I am doing 2 two credit meals so we don't have a TS every day. I think it's best to have them booked and if you change your mind cancel. Rather than leaving it to chance and not getting anything!
