Im sooo excited! I got a great Fl Resident rate! EEEEE Ive been dreaming of staying there since I was in college!! I was a little disappointed that all they had was standard view, but hey, bargain shoppers cant be too picky I guess!

July 26th cannot get here fast enough!! :cool1:

You will not be disappointed with the BWI. This is our favorite resort. We were just there in Jan 07, May 07, and looking forward to July 8, 07. There are plenty of things to see and do. Epcot and MGM are in walking or boating distance.

We really love the BW. We are DVC owners and it is NOT our home resort, therefore it's difficult for us to book there. So, when we do manage to snag a room, it's a special treat!

I stayed there last December after staying at the POLY, POR and CSR. I absolutely loved it. I would probably choose the BC or YC with small kids because the pool is a little tacky, but for adults nothing beats the BWI. Be sure to spend a little time in the huge rockers overlooking the water..

Just got back from the Boadwalk. It was our 1st time there. We loved it.

Its in walking distance to Epcot and MGM. Love the Brownie Cheesecake at the Bakery, Mmmm!

Have Fun!!!!

May I ask you the rate you got, or is that being too nosy?:confused3

We have stayed at the BWV twice and LOVED it! Love to pool, the location. We always get standard view (but again, this is at the villas) and it was pretty nice! Have fun!

C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S! You will have a wonderful time. :)

Im sooo incredibly excited! We got a standard view rate of $199 (the room was $315 before the FL Resident Rate was applied)!!!

Any recommendations on what area I should request for a good standard view??

I always wondered, is there a penalty for DVC owners when they book at a resort other than their home?

You will love BWI! It is my family's favorite so far. We love being able to walk right into Epcot, we love the Friendship boats to take us if we don't want to walk, we love the elegant feel of the resort and the fun little entertainments out on the Boardwalk at night.

Ask for a view into the courtyard/garden area and ask for a high floor. The flowering courtyard is by far the prettiest standard view room I've ever had and if you are up high enough you can see some of Epcot's fireworks at night!

Hope you have a great time!

I'm excited right there with you. We will be staying there for the first time in Nov. :yay: Hoping AP rate comes out thats better than AAA rate.

Im gonna to call tonight and request that view! I really hope we get it! Do any of the standards look at the parking lot :confused3

DVCer's can book at any resort with no penalty, we just have to wait longer to book a non-home resort

I really liked BWI when I stayed there last year. Standard views can be quite nice; hopefully you will have a courtyard view with a glimpse of Spaceship Earth or the Eiffel Tower.

I am soooo happy for you! :goodvibes Don't be too disappointed that it's a standard view, tho'. Here is the view from our standard room when we went in 2005. As you can see, it was just lovely. Congrats!!!

Congratulations!! As you can see from my sig youa re staying at our favorite resort!:cloud9: You will love the Boardwalk. There are so many things to do. The atmosphere at night is great and the convenience of being in the middle of everything can't be beat. I love the walk over to EPCOT! It is so peaceful and relaxing. Have a great trip!!:)

congrats! I've never stayed at the BW myself but I'm getting married there in three months (at Sea Breeze Point) and I'm hoping it's the beginning of many trips there! How romantic would it be to stay at the resort where we got married huh?

have a great time!!!! :dance3:

We just got back from the Boardwalk Inn yesterday. It was beautiful. We had a standard view room with a view of the Eiffel Tower and the top of Spaceship Earth on the 4th floor and very close to the elevators. The room was HUGE (apparently there are a few standard view rooms with extra square footage) but the balconey was not a full balconey. It wasn't quite a walk out, but it only fit one chair and a small table. I didn't care because the room was so large.

We stayed at BWI last summer for the first time and just loved it. We booked a standard view and I requested an upper floor overlooking the grounds. We were given room 5290 and it was HUGE and just a few steps from the elevator. We had a little entrance area where the closets were and the actual room was very wide. We had a balcony that was as wide as our room where we had the perfect view of the Eiffel Tower and Space Ship Earth in the background. The view wasn't as glamorous as looking at the Boardwalk, but for standard it was pretty darn amazing.
