I got the Entertainment Book rate at HoJo's for Dec. 4-7 and, btw, the 2007 e-books are 50% off right now at http://www.entertainment.com/discount/home.shtml, plus another $5 off if you sign up for automatic renewal - which you can cancel if you change your mind when they notify you a month in advance that the new edition is on its way. Thanks to everyone who has shared this great money-saving info. This will be the first trip to DLR for DH and me. I've been waiting to see Disneyland since I was 5 years old!

Just a heads-up for those of you booking after Nov 1, 2007 at the Ent. Rate. The 2007 Ent cards state clearly on the front of them:

"Valid now through November 1, 2007."

So, really, the 2007 cards may not be valid for December dates of stay. You may need to wait until Oct/Nov when the 2008 books are released and order a new book for a valid card.

Of course I also need to mention that not once have I been actually asked to show my Ent. Card at the HoJo, yet still have received the rate. I do always have a valid one with me just in case they ask! :thumbsup2

Is there a coupon in the entertainment book for HOJO? If so when does it expire? We are going early December. I also seen that they books are now 50% off, but was wondering if I should get the new one to see if it will have more coupons to use at DL.
Did you call directly to the hotel for the room? Hmmm maybe we need to call this month and not next...

Thanks for the info, I was about to post the question, when do they expire, so I knew whether to buy one now or wait. Wait it is.

When booking and to get the entertainment book coupon do you have to have your card number?

No, you don't. You just ask if they have the Ent. rate available. They *may* ask for the card when you check in or check out, though.

Wish I'd thought to check on the expiration date before I ordered the book! :-( Oh well - it's still a good deal even if I have to buy the 2008 book too. Thanks for this info!

alright just order myself a book and one for next year so we are good to go with that now just need to decide on a hotel... how soon do you think we need to book a hotel for december?? do you think mid may will be ok?

Do you recommend booking now? I mean how soon to they fill up for December? My husband wants to wait until August.. I am thinking more like booking next month. What do you think?:confused3

They only have so many rooms at the ent. rate. I'd call now and book, you can cancel up 48 hours before and they don't charge your credit card till you check in, so no harm in booking now.

Alright so when I call I just say I want to book a room with the entertainment price? Also what buildings do you recommend to stay in? Location is a plus with a 3 year old!
thanks

Tell them you want to check availability using the Entertainment Book rate for your dates of stay. They will tell you if they have any rooms offered at the Ent rate.

Do you want a view room? They will be $69 at the Ent. rate. They are in bldg. 1, on the upper floors. The balcony may be a little scary with a 3 year old. If you request this type of room, make sure you ask to be on the side of the bldg. closest to the lobby. The closer you get to the other end, the more freeway noise.

If you don't care about view, I would recommend Bldg. 2 by the quiet pool. They have lovely queen/queen rooms back there. It is ultra quiet and cheaper, too. $54 per night.

Good luck with your ressie!

We have stayed in a hotel with a balcony when she was 2 and did fine. What is the view rooms of? And they just hold your reservation with a credit card number and dont take a deposit?

By that Thread the map that is posted is confusing with the arrow pointing to disneyland and not sure where #1 is facing... But I want #1 right for views? Sorry for all the questions just want to make this trip the best possible for our little family

Bldg #1 is the only building with views. If you ask for a premium view room, they will put you in Bldg. 1.
