Just booked HHI 6/09!

Just used the new reservation system to book HHI June 7-10, 2009 at 11 month window. Really like not having to think about ? day-to-day(which I have never done) or waiting until 11 months from check-out. I had no problem getting the 1 bdroom and can enjoy the resort early next summer. Now we have to think about how to use the remaining HHI and OKW points for 2009!

Wow..lot's of early summer HHI plans.....we've been there in late june, mid-july and early august....I'm hoping for sunshine and a bit lower humidity, but I'll take anything..just to relax.

Just off the phone with MS. Booked a GV and a Studio for 6/14/09 -6/19/09 no problemo. Awesome not having to do DBD. I realize once people don't get what they want and start to do the "walking" business I may not be so fortunate, but just let me be in my happy place for a little while okay?

Not sure what you mean about "walking" business? I have never been an advocate for day-by-day reservations and never used it ever(since we joined 1994)even for 7 month reservations. so I am very happy with the new policy...can you explain the "walking" business?

This is such a pleasant thread that I don't want it to get closed because we start talking about walking a reservation under the new booking system. If you want to read some of the 170 page thread above it goes into gory detail over and over and over again. It's similar to day by day but has great potential for abuse and is a little scary to be honest.

On a happier note, we just LOVE Hilton Head. I am so happy that the new booking system worked for us this time.

We were fortunate enough to rent HHI points from another DVC member to get a chance at the 11 month window. That is what we did in 2006 and it worked perfectly. This year we booked on member cash and ultimately had 3 of our 6 nights convert to points.

Your slide show/website is GREAT! Thank you so much for doing that! I've been interested in HHI for a few years now and haven't been able to find nearly as much info as you just gave in 1 web site. What perfect timing for planning next year's summer vacation!
