I'm so excited. We've just booked with First Choice for 2 weeks from 18th August 2007 staying for 7 nights at POFQ and 7 nights at Polynesian. We're be celebrating DD's 13th birthday and my 40th!!

We managed to get the free dining plan added to our booking and I'm looking forward to trying some different restaurants.

We're trying the new First Choice flights from Bristol. The new planes look very good so hope we'll be pleased. Going out we fly up to Manchester first to collect other passengers before going on to Sanford. I think we'll only be on the ground for an hour and we have been told we don't need to leave the plane. Hopefully lots of people from the south west will try this new route so that it keeps going as it will be so much better than having to travel up to Gatwick.

Hi...Do you mind me asking how you managed to split your stay? :sunny:

I really wanted to do this for our trip next august...we wanted 1 week WL and 1 week POFQ...but when I tried to book through Disney Uk they wouldn't let me split the stay if I wanted the free dining. They said it would be two seperate ressies..and therefore I would have to purchase tickets seperatly for both ressies.
Well as I wanted to buy the 14 day ultimate this meant i could only attach it to one hotel to get the free dining. If I wanted to book another hotel i would have to purchase everyone in the family a 5 day ticket as well.

Obviously this would be ridiculous :confused3 ...So I tried Travel city direct and they told me the same thing.
I ended up booking the POFQ for two weeks with 14 day ultimate and free dining with travel city direct.
But its a shame I couldn't split it?
Did you purchase two lots of tickets?

Hey I just noticed...we will both be at POFQ at the same time! :thumbsup2

We could be neighbours :teeth: ..We are also celebrating...my DS 15th! On sept 2nd.
Did you make room requests?

Tinker74: I booked through Tappers travel and the lady spoke direct to First Choice. They did confirm the split stay, 14 day ticket and free DDP. I've not received the written confirmation yet so I will obviously need to check it carefully when it arrives just to make sure.

It does seem a shame you were told you couldn't do the split stay as you're buying a 14 day ticket anyway which is the only requirement other than staying on site. Our whole stay is during the free dining period - are you starting your trip earlier perhaps?

Didn't request any particular room at POFQ other than non-smoking. We'll have to bump into one another during our trip. I thought the resort looked nice and much more compact than some! DD can't wait to try the pool having looked at the photos!

This split stay buisness is sooo confusing. I hope it works out for you and first choice don't get back on to you.
When I first got my quote from TCD they told me a split stay would be fine as my 14 day ticks covererd the whole holiday .
BUT they got back to me the next day to tell me it wasn't possible after all :guilty: ...as The 14 day ticks would be on my hotel key of the first hotel i checked into..along with my dining points fot the duration of the stay at THAT hotel.
When i then checked into the second hotel a week later I would be given a different hotel key..which would also need tickets purchased to attach to it so I could be given free dining for THAT hotel....Phewwww. this is exausting. :teeth:

I sort of understand what they mean..but think its ridiculous..TCD stressed to me that it is disney that will not let them do this.

But if your booking works out then i will get straight back onto TCD !!

Could you please let me know when you get your confirmation...fingers crossed. :)

On another note...I asked for buildings 5..4..or 2 ground floor. I forgot to ask for non smoking...so better call them back. :cool1:

I'll be staying at POFQ 13/10/07 onwards for 2 weeks flying from Bristol you'll have to write a trip report and let us know what First choice are like

Pro :cool1folly
