Just had to share my excitement with everyone,

I've ALWAYS wanted to go to WDW at Christmas and never thought I would be able to afford it....

well been saving up Tesco vouchers for just over 12 months and my DD17 and I were having a conversation about how long it might be before we could get to WDW again, she asked about the vouchers she knew I'd been saving.

Anyhow, decided to count up the vouchers,,,,,,, and I realised that I had enough to book :faint:

You cannot imagine the sheer joy that came over me!

So now I'm all booked, just sent my vouchers by special delivery to Virgin... let the countdown begin :banana::banana:

That is fantastic news! What are your dates were going 4-20 December!

Ah we will just miss you! We will be getting there on Dec 22nd. We are only going for a week this time, I couldn't do the full 2 weeks as I'm a teacher and wouldn't be back on time to get over the jetlag etc. I think a week will be fine though, we just want to go and experience the atmosphere and see the lights and decorations really. I can't wait !! :yay:

Happy Planning Traci, a fantastic time to go. Mega busy but well worth it.
Don't expect to do anywhere near as much as at any other time of year, work fastpass sytem well, get in the parks for opening and spend as much time as poss going around all the resorts they are all amazing at Xmas.

That sounds soooooo wonderful,! I have also always wanted to go for Christmas, like you, just for the atmosphere and to see the lights and decs. I just can't give up the warmer months though - so tired of 10 months a year of WINTER!!! You will have such a good time. Is the Christmas party still running when you arrive, or does it finish earlier than that? Where are you staying? Have you started planning yet? It sounds so exciting!

:goodvibesgot to love mr tesco!!
I too am saving for our holidays, not this but next, need to save some money, and mr t paying for our hols is the only way we ll get away next year:confused3

Wonderful news :goodvibes we've just come back from spending Christmas and New Year there and it was our best holiday ever. IMO being there at Christmas far outweighs any crowds. :wizard:

That's excellent news. Where are you staying?

I have enough Tesco vouchers to book again, been itching to book in fact, worked out that we could go at Christmas for two weeks, staying in a Condo. Wouldn't need to put much cash to that. But I think I will wait for next summer.

I have a tough choice to make at work though, take redundancy, or hope they find me a job elsewhere, which will mean reducing my hours. I work for HMRC, never though in a million years, I would have the threat of redundancy hanging over me. Whoever thought they would make the taxman or in my case taxlady redundant!

so how do you guys use your tesco clubcard vouchers as i don't seem to have enough to buy anything

Your vouchers are worth 4 times the value printed on them. So if you get one from tesco in your mailing for 10.00 when converted to deals its worth 40.00

In the past there have been lots of opportunties for earning extra points for example each time I ordered my groceries on line, I would get a bonus of 1000 club card points worth 40.00 towards my next VH. On top of this, there were health and beauty bonus points. Spend 2.00 after money off coupons on toothpaste, shampoo etc and get 1000.00 another 40.00 towards my holiday. Sold tons of Lynx to the girls at work at 2.00 per load and got to keep the points. Those were the good old days. Mr T has now tightened up, so not that many opportunities. Some peeps are buying 14.00 mobile phones, flogging them on e-bay and get to keep the points another 40.00 in vouchers. I can't be bothered with this though.

There is a whole website called paid to shop dedicated to the art of collecting points. This will be my third holiday thanks to Mr T. In the past we could pay for all of our holiday with VH, but not VH are only letting us put 700.00 per person towards our holiday. The recession I suppose. People in paid to shop land, have had new kitchens from MFI, cars from motorpoint and lots and lots of lovely holidays.

Point collecting can become obsessive, but not as obsessive as planning your next Disney holiday. It was this site that introduced me to collecting tesco points. Without the DIS I would never have discovered it.

That's fantastic new Traci, :goodvibes

I'm dead jealous, still working on the girls to go back although i am not holding out much hope.:sad2:

I am sure you will all have a brilliant time. Where are you staying this time round??
