Just booked us, my parents, my in-laws, and my Aunt, for Feb. 6th-13th! This will be my parents first trip to FW or Disney altogether. I hate that we couldn't go in October along with everyone else. We'll make it happen one year!

Wow Randy! Sounds like you're bringing 'errybody! :rockband:

I've said it here before (and thus I'm saying it again) I am a big fan of the multi-generational family trip to Disney World and ESPECIALLY at the Fort.

And I'm with you. One of these day's I'm gonna make an October-2015-like DISmeet and I hope it's the same one you are at.

You're a good son/son-in-law (God bless you)/dad/husband.

That sounds like fun. A great time of year also.

Bama Ed, I've been trying to get the whole family onboard to go to Fort Wilderness. I'm excited about it. I know that nothing is guaranteed with loops or sites, but we all requested loop 900. Some of my bunch is going to use Greenberg so I will see first hand how all that works, I also gotta book us a cart.

Yeah 2goofycampers, I love it there at that time of year. We went 2 years during July and it was too hot for us and that's saying alot with us being from South Alabama!

As long as you have all the site reservations as part of a grand gathering, it wont garentee next to each other, but its better then if you don't have them linked.

We will be arriving the day you depart in 2016. We actually have a plan to take advantage of annual passes beyond just the two planned 2016 trips. The Adult group is discussing going back in January 2017. That means 3 trips on one AP!!! I like that idea.

Good deal Randy! Sounds like you are bringing half the Mobile population with you.

Hate you and Ed can't make October but at least you're going and it sounds like a good time to be there weather wise.

Speaking of October, it's getting close to pre-trip time...

Yea Tiggerdad, we will look like a band of gypsies heading east on I10!

Looking forward to reading everyone's October trip reports. We'll make it down there one year in October.

It's also getting close to football season!

Still hoping to get a short trip in Feb 2016, the DW has bought into it. Congratulations on your booking. Sounds like fun.

3 RVs probably doesn't qualify for the gypsie migration status. But we travel in a pack as well heading south. I can't wait for the trip and today is the official 180 days out. So its time to start planning some dinner reservations!!!!!

PaHunter - When do you expect to be down there? We are going from the 2/14 to 2/27. If you make it down there during then let me know so I can tell you where we are hiding!

We would be looking to be around somewhere from end of feb to early march depending on when DW has work commitments.

You know that your ready to go to Fort Wilderness when you look up the bus transportation on YouTube to listen to the recording talking....

Also since there will be some other DISers at the same time as us I am going to make us up one of Bama Ed's DIS signs...

Well, I wanted to update this a little. I booked dinner at the Hop Dee Doo Review for Feb 11th, the #1 section was already booked, plus this morning I reserved our carts. My parents (who has never been to Disney before) cant believe how far ahead you have to book/reserve stuff.

Have fun been there twice in Feb around those dates, (the 13 is the wife's B-bay) one year it was great warm 70's and the next year was wet, cold and rainy. We had fun both times just be ready for anything. The camper would burn a 40LB bottle of LP in 2-3 days. Lows in the 30's and highs were low 50's.

Oct is a great time to go, that was the time of year when we went last and loved it. low crowds and get weather.

We are going the 5th-12th March 2016. its been 5 years and I can't wait to get back there.

Yeah sncraig, the weather in Florida can be crazy, we will pack up everything from shorts and flip flops to jackets and gloves. This past February we didn't think it would get down into the 30's. We paid $40 for two sock hats and two pairs of mitts in the Magic Kingdom, I didn't want my bunch to get sick. I'm glad they they refill LP tanks in the Fort. We also bring a couple of small space heaters. It's much better there in February compared to when we use to go in July

I use the heater in the 'fireplace' and an additional in the bedroom to cut back on propane use when I go in January. Looking forward to our Feb trip and some warmer weather then our usual January timeframe.

Well one month from the day we will be checking in back "home"! Nothing much to report yet, I'll have a ton of work to to when I get home from week in a week, got the normal stuff, oil and fuel filter change on my truck, wash and wax the camper wait, (scratch waxing that would take a week to do), load it up. Other than that my wife has been busy making Disney tee's for the family with her Silhouette machine that Santa brought her... thought I'd share a few with yall...
