Wow I am getting so excited! I just booked our F! seats and I can hardly control myself! :teeth: I feel like jumping on my bed, but I better not because of my daughter. :cheer2:  :cheer2:

I decided on river front seats, because I have a better chance of getting front row seats. This will be the second time we have booked river front seats. We showed up around 7:50 last time and was able to get our name on the list first. Hopefully we will be able to get there first again this time. :thumbsup2

Can you please explain what this is about? What are F! seats?

Thanks!

So which are better, front row or balcony seats?

It just depends on what you like. I feel that you have a better chance of getting front row seats when on the river. About an hour before the show starts you check in and then you get your assigned seats based on the order you check in. On the balcony you get your assigned seat by the order the tickets are sold. When I called the balcony had sold out in the first minute, but I was still able to get riverside seats with out any problems.

I personally like river because you can actually feel the fire, your closer, and the show was supose to be viewed from the river. I guess if you decide to try and get tickets you can try balcony first and then try for river. Either way you will have a great time!

I didn't hold high hopes of getting a reservation when I called, since I'll be there the weekend of June 9th, and I was right. However, they did have the late show available. Without the fireworks, is it still worth it?

Yes, I would say it is worth it! You do not have to sit on the ground or stand up the whole time with someone taller than you in front of you. Just having a chair is worth it to me. It also takes the stress away from having to find a place to view F!. I know that all I have to do is show up when they say and I will have a seat without any problems.

OK - the official Disneyland calendar shows Fantasmic! back up on June 27, after being down for the previous week due to the Pirates premiere. Yet, when I call to make reservations, they tell me that it's dark that night. Should I just keep trying or what?!

You won't be dissapointed with the River seats. We had them in March and were 1 of 2 families in the whole area. It is great because you can come and go without losing your spot. We hit the mint julips and bread bowls on our way and enjoyed snacking while spread out in the wide open space. It is also nice because you can see the fireworks very well from those seats, you just can't see the show on the castle. Enjoy.

Ok I have a question??? I have done the balcony seats, and I was way too stressed out about what order our tickets were, and being in the back row....If it weren't for a party showing up extremely late, we would have been. But anyways, my mom and a BIG group of our family would like to do this next time when we go in 2007, and it sounds like with our group size it would just be more convenient (and less stressful) doing the river seating.

1. Are the desserts served like a true buffet like up in the balcony, or are they still served out of the boxes??? I have heard different things...anyone go really recently?

2. I can be as early as I need to be in order to ensure front row seats, and I love having my own destiny in my hands, if you know what I mean. (Something that I hated not having up in the balcony.) If you are in the front row, I noticed from pictures there is a railing that goes up pretty high right in front of you. Is that an obstacle to have to see over, especially for young kids??

3. Is the view ok even though it is offcenter?? I noticed up on the balcony it was way over to the left by the Haunted house...can you still see the things in the center ok?

4. Is there a walkway that goes right in front that everyone and their dog will walk by and pass by in front of you? That is so distracting to me. Did anyone have any problems with this???

Thanks so much! If anyone has any questions about the balcony, let me know! LOL

We did the River seating in March so the crowds weren't that bad. As far as the railing, it isn't really distracting and is a great place to sit behind and set the video camera on. There is a walkway in front of the seating area and every once in a while there will be a person or two who passes in front of you, but no one is allowed to stop and watch the show there. Being off center is not a problem since the show is very fluid and moves around alot. The water screens that they show the movies on cover both sides of the island and can be seen from many different angles. You guys should have a great time, especially with a large group.

If we got the last seats on the balcony, how far are they from the railing. Will we be able to see the show? I'm thinking that if there is only 15 other people on the balcony with us, It's better than competing with hundreds, right? :confused3

As of last week 6/7/06, it was a buffet style that contained Mickey Rice Krispie treats, chocolate covered strawberries, choco-covered macaroons, shortbread cookies with raspberry filling and something else that escapes me now.

It's an obstacle, but not to your absolute detriment. Younger kids can sort of see over or through the bars, which really didn't seem to bother my daughter.

The view is Fantastic from the whole seating area! It's a bit off center, but not as much as you might think. The water screens wrap around the stage.

No one really walks in front of you as most other people have been seated below for hours to stake out their spots. Most people are glued to the show and don't move around much once it starts.

Thanks so much! If anyone has any questions about the balcony, let me know! LOL

Hope that helps you out with your decision!! It was a great way to see Fantasmic and I wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

We did riverside and you really need to get there early to get your name on the list. Our seats were not the best for all that money.
