Hi all!

Thanks to an AP rate (and the need to splurge on myself for this trip), I am now staying at BWI Concierge January 6-14, 2005. :teeth:

I read a bunch of threads on here about Concierge stays (Lounge Lizards, I'll get to your threads soon) but I still had a few questions about how this all works:

1. My TA booked my stay and I am assuming that they passed along all my info to the staff there. I've read a few threads that talk about getting phone calls or things in the mail from the itinerary planners--- how does that usually work and when should I hear something?

2. Should I not bother to make PSs now and let the staff take care of it or is there some things that the Conceirge staff can not arrainge and should be taken care of now?

3. How does Check-in work? Is there a special place I go or do I just take care of it at the front desk?

4. Finally PLEASE tell me I won't feel horribly out of place on CL. I am usually a WDW Moderate Resort/Hampton Inn/Coach Class/Compact rental car kind of traveler and I'm worried I'll feel out of place. Please tell me it won't be so!

Thanks so much in advance,

We all need a little splurge every now & then! I've stayed AKL CL many times. The CMs there are great. I'm sure BW is no different.

Sometimes I've been called and sometimes I haven't! If there's something you need to arrange, I would e-mail them directly.

The concierge can do everything for you if you like. You're staying right after the holidays so unless you want to dine with Cinderella, you'll be okay with PS choices.

Not sure about BW, but at AKL I tell the bellman that I have a concierge reservation and he takes me directly upstairs to the lounge to check-in.

It won't be so! You shouldn't feel out of place at all. Don't consider Disney CL uppity or high end. Its just a level of service to make your life easier. Sit back, grab the paper, have a cappucino and RELAX!

I would email them if you have any PSs that you really want to have being you are under 90 days. When booking through a TA they may not get your address or phone, so I would contact them. The planners for the YC/BC/BWI are wonderful and very prompt with email.

Have a great trip!

The itinerary planning staff for BWI is excellent!

You can contact them and tell them you have made a reservation and inform them if there are any special dining arrangements you would like to make, etc.

They are a pleasure to deal with and should be able to help you with just about anything.

Have a great time!

CRO can give you the number for the itinerary planners if you call them back and tell them you have a reservation.

Thank you all so much for the replies so far. I did a search and found the e-mail address for the Concierge Office at BWI and I'll e-mail them later tonight to touch base if nothing else.

I am starting to relax a little more about it now--- and really looking forward to it.

Definately contact concierge if you booked through a travel agent. We found out that the TA is supposed to do the PS's for you, so they don't pass the info onto concierge. Luckily I contacted concierge well before the 90 days just to inquire and they emailed me the form they normally send to guests. This was for the Poly!

Have a great time!!

At the BWI. You check in at the main lobby with all the non concierge guests.
