Just booked BLT at 7 months out!

We just switched our 10 night June/July 2011 stay for a 1bd room SV at Kindani for a 1bd Lake View at BLT. We're excited to stay at BLT for the 1st time, but we'll miss Kidani too. We love our home resort, but it'll be nice to be so close to MK

Congratulations. I am heading for my third stay at BLT on January 3. All were done at 7 months - my home resort is Saratoga Springs. We really like SSR but have enjoyed staying at the other resorts as well and have had very good luck booking at the seven month window. We are kind of thinking that BLT will get harder to book at 7 months once it is sold out so we are getting a few trips in now. The decor isn't my favorite among the resorts, but the location can't be beat.

And relaxing with a margarita or two at the Top of the World Lounge can't be beat!

I understand loving your home resort, though the good news is it will always be your home resort. It is good to try somewhere new and BLT is a great resort. Have a wonderful trip and congrats on getting in at the 7 month window.

Congrats on the seven month window! We'll be at BLT for the first time this March for a Spring Break trip. I called out of the blue at around the sixth month window and asked the CM what was available at BLT in terms of studio views. She told me that they only had one Bay Lake view studio left so I booked it on the spot. It was pure luck and totally random. We're so excited! I agree with previous posters that the seven month window may be more difficult to book when the resort is completely sold. We're certainly enjoying it now while it lasts.

We were really surprized to get it at 7 months. We tried on two different previous ressies and nothing was available. We're excited to try somewhere new. We've stayed at VWL, SSR, OKW, BWV, Kidani, and Jambo; so, BWV and BLT are all we have left to add to our list. So far, we are partial to Kidani; however, everywhere at WDW is special

You will enjoy your BLT visit, the place is very unique and the location is magical.

So we are one of the BLT owners who helps make 7 month booking a possibility for non-BLT owners. After a short but painful learning curve, we are now booking all out trips at the 11 month time to ensure we have a room booked at the lowest point range and the peak time frames. About 50% of our trips will be at BLT, the rest will at other resorts. We had a BLT Studio SV reserved at the 11 month mark for May '11. At the 7 month mark we switched to OKW for lower points and a different relaxing experience. I'm sure somebody was pleasantly surprised by the pixie dust that got them a BLT Studio Standard!

We are very frugal with our points so that we can still enjoy 1 BR and an occasional 2 BR at BLT. We also want to experience the remaining resorts, and hope that our 7 month window continues to work for us as our vacationing points continue to evolve.

As far as our BLT 1-BR/SV in Sept '11 - hands off; we're keeping that one!!

We were able to do the same for our upcoming Mardi Gras trip.. I was able to switch (I did have to waitlist for a bit) from SSR, to a BLT standard one bedroom. I can totally relate to you.. we are very excited about staying at BLT!!!
