where were you when you had that hot weather? Vienna? Prague? Where?
What hotel did not have AC?

We were in Prague at that time. We stayed in a small historic hotel, Hotel Muncha,(sp?) I believe. It was a three story row type house and very quaint. The people were wonderful and when we checked out the man behind the desk agreed with us to go to a hotel with AC. He wished he could. Budapest was quite pleasant in the 70's as Vienna and Salzburg. I was told that the weather does fluctuate sometimes in degrees as well as rain as we have seen with the flooding this year on the Danube.
